Crosspost from the "dress up games" thread: I blatantly misuse the Gemsona game to make Mabel, Candy, and Grenda.
i'm glad you did. :D they're really cute, and using things in ways they aren't actually made to be used is pretty cool, i think. and it answers some of the things i've been wondering about the gemsona maker. (which i haven't yet used myself 'cause i've been mostly on using my ipad lately - i like being in bed with it - and it doesn't work on there.)
Gravity Falls Character Sorter. I never know what criteria to use for these things, but I'll post my results later probably.
according to mine, i like stanford pines the most, and toby determined and darlene the least. and i pushed quite a few characters far down the list simply 'cause i disliked their voices (gideon, for example) or didn't like looking at them much (eg. darlene). and hmm, overall, i think my list was pretty accurate. not completely but mostly.
Ford, Dipper, and Mabel, in that order, were all listed as "Rank 1". Next was Wendy, followed by Stan. This seems pretty accurate. Mermando and Filbrick Pines tied for last place. My humblest apologies to Mermando; I found him and his storyline totally boring but he does not deserve to be equated in any way with Filbrick Pines.
1, Ford. 2, Wendy. 3, Dipper. 4, Tie: Stan & Mabel. If anyone's surprised by these results, they probably weren't paying attention LOL.
Bill actually wound up moderately high on mine because I find him enjoyable to watch, unsympathetic as he is. Filbrick, on the other hand, has no redeeming factors, in-universe or out, to rescue him from last place. I think I voted against him in every matchup on principle.
Bill is enjoyable to watch until he isn't and then I think about what he did to Ford and Mabel and I really want to just take that fucker apart brick by brick. I enjoy hating him, but I do hate him. (I am also not thrilled by what he did to Dipper but that caused a lot less damage overall.) Filbrick is not even fun to hate. He is just hateful.
not sure if legit but !!! Spoiler: about the link I see Ford's handprint, Dipper's pine tree (twice!), Mabel's shooting star, Soos' question mark, and the axe and pickaxe probably represent Wendy and McGucket respectively... but where's Stan? The background color matches his fez; does that represent him? Everyone who I think is represented on that banner is currently at the Shack except Ford. Does that mean he'll be arriving there before the FINAL SHOWDOWN? Or are they simply proclaiming that they share his goal of defeating Bill?
That is essentially an illustration of a moment that actually happened in our RPG. Except I think his feet were on the ground. I kind of love it with all my heart, thank you for finding it! ETA: https://kintsugi.seebs.net/threads/...e-weirdmageddon-tango.2252/page-23#post-96457 Yeah, that happened ... 220 pages ago? wow this thing got huge fast.
@cryptoThelematrix That's really touching. She's going to need to be held in canon too, when everything catches up to her. Ford's understanding would be really valuable.
So remember Wendy's friends popping up in the latest episode? As part of her deepest desire? Robbie wasn't there.
GF discussion that arose in the "tumblr.txt" thread (reposted here with permission of participants): Spoiler: Lots of text. Discussion mostly about Stan, Ford, their childhood, their parents, and the perpetual motion machine incident.
