no!no! hair removal has the funniest name when i first heard about it, i was like, "does it remove hair or not?" 'cause of all the negatives in the name
I saw that and it makes so much sense. Also supporting it: In TBTF when Ford is out of ideas, all he can suggest is that Stan and the kids run like hell while Bill is distracted by him. The idea of trying to get a promise to spare them never seems to cross his mind, because he knows Bill 1: doesn't have to honor it, 2: will only have them brought back to his attention by any attempt to negotiate on their behalf, and 3: given 1 and 2, is of course highly likely to just kill them all for shiggles. Instead, it takes a thief...
Can anyone else imagine this dialogue with Mabel and Ford (feat. Dipper as the second girl at the end)? (also does anyone know what show the original is from because dang that's adorable) (edit: tagviewer says the show is called vividred operation and apparently it is widely disliked, alas)
Yeah that anime was... not as good as it could've been, it was pretty derivative (Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha and Puella Magi Madoka Magica were the ones that were most obvious to me), and... eh. There are a few giant plotholes and unnecessary fanservice, as I recall.
Oh man, did you see the Non-Stop ones for the Stans? (Why do you assume you're the smartest in the room~)
Hogwarts houses. Slightly different from how I would have assessed them, but that's no surprise. Everyone has their own interpretation of sorting criteria, after all.
I find it hard to believe that Stan would be expelled when the motherfucking Weasley twins weren't. When I sorted the ones I RP, Stan came out Slytherin. Which actually IS the "family and clan and allies and related folks above all others" House, though I thought he might be Gryffindor due to his love of grand gestures and punching evil in the snout even when it's strategically kind of dumb. (Gryffindors do not care very much about The Law, either.) I was surprised my Ford came out Ravenclaw but apparently he does know the difference between knowledge and power even though he seems to believe there is no such thing.
Actually I think nothing but good could come of Stan and Ford being sent to school somewhere that Stan would be forced to do his own schoolwork (though preferably NOT Hogwarts because Ford would drive them nuts, and despite the fact that I hate Dumbledore more than enough to enjoy the idea of him having to put up with Ford blowing shit up all over the place and insisting on using the scientific method in everything, I love Ford too much to want him to have to deal with that) as I think Stan is much smarter than he gives himself credit for being. Having other people to compare himself to could only help particularly in combination with not having access to Ford's homework.
