my party so far is just me and my SO :"D and he doesnt know much abt this sorta thing either ahhh

 

basically: choose rogue if you like drops and extra gold, warrior if you like doing damage, healer if you and your party members take a lot of damage and need health, and mage if you want buffs. if you do a lot of bosses, probably go for warrior or mage, you'll beat them a lot faster (trying to solo bosses as a rogue takes ages, it's a travesty.)

 

So I'm in a self improvement mood lately so I've been trying to organize and break down my tasks (when did they add the checklist feature to Dailies, I wonder?). I've been really tired this week but have enough mental energy to learn about new ways of doing things.

Also, not exactly Habitica related, but I was going to see if I could tie them together somehow and try it out, but has anyone heard of Bullet Journaling? I don't know if I'm organized enough for it yet, but a youtube video about it ended up in my ASMR queue and my interest was piqued. It seems to have a bit of a following, and the ways I've seen it done please me aesthetically, which of course makes me really want to do the same.

 

@Soul ive seen a fair bit of that stuff!! briefly tried to do it myself but i didnt have a good book for it and so kept putting it off :PP i found habitica was an easier replacement for bullet journaling for me tho. there's a lot of tumblr resources for it, specifically that whole studyblr community, i could probably find some good posts that i have reblogged about it if youre interested!

also it's really great??? like in the past hour I folded my laundry and took a shower and ate lunch and it's all because of this website I feel so productive

 

Todos actually increase in experience value the longer you leave 'em, so yeah.

A thing I noticed.

If a task has been sitting in my to-dos long enough to turn red, it's probably because there's something I forgot to put on the checklist. Often something I didn't even think to count as a step.

There was a bill I needed to pay that sat there until it turned red because I did not have "gather checkbook, pen, and bill" as a step and I only remembered about the bill when I was missing either the checkbook or the pen.

I have needed to take some things to the dry cleaners for over two weeks and I haven't done it because I did not put "pile up all dry clean only clothes in a place near the door" on the checklist.

New experiment: see how many instances of "Cannot Do Task" can be reduced to "Task Specification Incomplete" and resolved.
