Yup. I'm trying SO HARD to be smart. I focused on the seed maker until I got it, but I got distracted a few times by recipes and blueprints for tools ("but they'll help! Less stamina drain means I can get more done! -buy, buy, buy, BROKE- aw fuck")

On Seedling mode some items are cheaper to buy but their sale price is the same. Crystals from Silk Country have a 200g difference. It's not a huge bonus, but sometimes they have 7 or 10 of them for sale that you can turn around and sell right back. It's a godsend in early game if you have no shame like myself.

• I intentionally took a dive on my conquest for the grain field because I don't think I need it any more. I'd still like to maintain the fields that I have (root crops, tall crops, spices, honey and mushrooms) because it's as easy as talking to the guild the day the lease runs out, but otherwise I think the only other field I want is the water paddy.
• Raeger and I are officially a couple. That was a whirlwind romance. Also like a creeper I've already started thinking about names for our children. At first I was trying to think of some kind of theme, or a fandom name that isn't too outlandish like Steven or Mabel. But after some thought I definitely want to name my daughter Eda the way some people name their kids after their grandparents. For theme names there are a few obscure short boy names that begin with Ed- the choices I picked out are: Eder, Edel, Edan, and Edsel.) Edan probably sounds the best and it had bonus points for only having one letter difference between the two names,

 

Oh Man I definitly want the children to be named after Melchior and Elliora but i think i'll cross the genders over between them so
daughter: Mel
son: Ellis? or something?

 

Edwin?

 

I want to stick with the Eli- thing because that's what Melchior and Eliora are calling each other, Mel and Eli

I probably could have caught 'em all by now but just dealing with my animals, own field, the root crop field, the tall crop field, and the spice field, my character is about ready to faint. I figure the only kind of crop I can't grow right now grow in the paddy, so I am going to start hoarding again and then challenge Elise when her lease is up and then RUB HER SMUG FACE IN MY VICTORY like I did for the mushroom and honey field.

 

Made it to fall, but I do not have the stamina or time to water even the fields I already have. I was kind of relieved when I lost conquest of the flower field. Have to wait another month before I can get the other low-maintenance fields, too. :/

I upgraded my house finally though! And I'm saving up for my first rabbit because WOW I was not expecting them to be so expensive.

 

Hehe. I managed to craft some accessories that help me keep my stamina full, so... uh. Now I'm just running out of hours in the day..

 

yeah I keep meaning to do that but I forget to write down what I need for what set of jewelry.

 

I'm tempted to court Spoiled Von Poofyskirt when I do my boy playhrough. Just to see what that relationship tree would be like in experience.

Rabbit purchased. It's so squooshy. And then so funny looking when it sheds! Working on collecting patterns because clothes are fun and then I can make the combos for less fainting. Upgraded my watering can to silver, which helps. Sadly I have the luck of the Aztecs and useful metals are avoiding me. I keep mining rocks, bricks, and copper.

Somehow, despite only ever ordering from him, I have Raeger up to a purple heart out of nowhere. It changed faster than Mistel's, who I'm actively courting.

So I remember back when SoS was first announced in Japan and information was being released bit by bit, when Marian was announced the article used male pronouns, but didn't comment on actual gender. It's not the first time there's been characters of indistinct gender, but usually it gets clarified pretty quick and the bios always outright say. When I got SoS I saw a lot of people referring to Marian as "she" so I figured they changed it in the translation, but the game has yet to use a pronoun. I've encountered the closest they've come yesterday during the fashion show- talking to Lillie she mentions she likes skirts because they're a thing girls get that guys don't "except for Marian, I guess?" Which I read as "who even knows with Marian?"

And I just... Marian canon genderqueer? y/hy/hfy? There's already the wardrobe being open with 0 commentary, and DS Cute had sekret lesbians before it got translated ("Best Friends" except you saw all their heart events from the boy version, the Harvest God "saw your devotion to each other" and gifted you a kid, and it otherwise functioning exactly like a normal marriage.)

Ooooor maybe I'm just desperate to see even a hinted-at enby in a HM game because I've been playing them since I was 8 and only just now thought of the kind of validation that would be. (Go to bed Laz. You're insomnia-drunk.)

Well. I could access them now, but I don't see the point. Once you're married you get access to three meals a day, either your creation or your partners. And there's also the bath and toilet by then as well. =v=; ah well. high fashion and wearing my wedding ring it is.

 

I just upgraded my house to the marriage-sized house, even though Reger is only at a birple (that is a typo and I meant purple but you know what? I am not changing that. It's great.) flower, because WHY NOT. At least I have a bathroom now, and lots of space in my house.

 

Now to start hoarding black branches like they're going out of style because whoops they sure as fuck did in my game for the longest time. ;7;
