"Oh, he can't be scared of trees, he has dogs." She takes a satisfied sip of the last of her cocoa, and puts the mug down.
"Yeah. You'll see. It's safe, as long as you stay buckled in and sit still. It won't be very long, okay?"
"Okay..." She intones, dubious but will to go along with this for the moment. Besides, that word sounds kind of familiar...
She has to walk all around it first, looking in the windows and examining the door handles, and will crawl right underneath to look at the bottom if Emberlynn doesn't stop her.
Emberlynn does stop her, catching her carefully and pulling her back up to her feet. "Nope, you don't want to go under there, it can be dangerous."
"Oh... will it fall? Are there spiders? Bitey poison ones? Is there a trap?" She rattles off questions, but obediently climbs into the car, bouncing in the seat a little before she pulls her feet up as well.
"Nah, but there's plenty to hit your head on..." Emberlynn buckles her in. "And people might not know you're under there, if you climb under them, and you could get really, really hurt, so you need to not do that, okay?"
"Oh, okay. Thank you for telling me!" She gives her a fully sweet smile, then starts playing with the seatbelt, though she leaves it buckled. Shiny lady said to stay buckled in. Once they're under way, she's peering out the window, hands against the glass and eyes wide. She, of course, peppers Emberlynn with questions, a plethora of 'what's that?' and 'what does that do?' Directed at everything from cars to neon signs to a bike messenger. Sometimes, though, she shows perfect knowledge of things, like when she excitedly exclaims "Pizza!" as they roll by a pizza joint, or complains about the noise a sprinkler is making.
Emberlynn beams at her, chirping back at a mile a minute, happily explaining as much as she can, managing to keep up with Corvie... more or less... between singing along with the radio and swerving recklessly between lanes with nary a care in the world.
Corvie's thrilled with the reckless driving, shrieking with glee on a drifting turn, not afraid of the speed or apparent danger at all.
Emberlynn laughs, pulling up with twist of her wheel in front of a small, white-picket fenced house in the middle of comfortable suburbia. "Welcome to Knaggs' place!" She cheers loudly.
"Nag's place!" She joins in on the cheer, though her pronunciation of 'Knagg' is a bit off. "Can I unbuckle now?"
"Yup!" Emberlynn turns the car off and unbuckles, hopping out and circling around in case Corvie needs any help. "C'mon, let's walk you up!"
She figures it out quickly, fascinated by the belt rolling back up before she hops out of the car. She offers her hand to Emberlynn, even as she peers around.
Emberlynn smiles, taking her hand gently and leading her up the walkway, then knocks on @Richard Knaggs door.
