do we know what color grub loaf is? because one of my on again off again fanons is that highbloodd grubs aren't that much rarer in comparison, but that they are heavily culled to keep up a sort of artificial scarcity. can't run on the labor of your lowbloods if the nobility is large. SO if grub loaf is predominately blue or even purplish or green it could be very questionable. i can't remember the color of most foods we're shown in the comic, and i hate puzzle games, so i don't know. fanfic seems pretty even between rainbow alternian food items as well as more yellows and browns
we haven't gotten any violets. I'm sure at least one of the troll calls will be a sea dweller tho. i hope. i love my horrible fish. i need another one to fall in love with.
"Grub sauce" apparently comes in a range of at least yellow to green, since comments about it have been made regarding Sollux's and Kanaya's blood.
Did Xefros even get to choose which caste-mandated job he'd end up in? He hates the idea of butlering and fantasises about leaving it behind with sports and singing, but doesn't seem to consider moving sideways or say that the other options for his caste are worse.
Spoiler could be so that you know at least one is probably hiding their blood color, but don't know which.
Spoiler: today's Troll Call 1. 'troll Jewish' 2. the 'wait, what did you mean "texting your sister"' on Stelsa's is making me wonder if Stelsa and Marvus are in a relationship, or supposed to be, or something? it seems to imply some kind of connection between the two. 3. Stelsa and Cirava both wear bright, bright pink, and it's a huge part of Stelsa's outfit too, which is interesting, given that I think the only trolls we've seen wearing colors that aren't their caste's color, close to their caste's color, or a moirail or matesprit's color are Feferi and some of the purples--and the purples mostly wear candy red accents. pink is a new one for non-tyrians. and I gave Cirava a pass because I figured it might be the color of the eye the patch is covering, or WAS the color of that eye previously if that eye is like gone, but Stelsa....doesn't have a reason like that to be wearing pink. (maybe Stelsa is connected to Trizza somehow??)
Spoiler: signs Spoiler: color i mean, Vriska had bright red boots, and Kanaya had lots of clothes that were not jade green. Plus Stelsa's is not really tyrian-pink, it's a lot paler.
Spoiler: colors actually just looked at Kanaya and she has a pink dress, it's darker, but I think the thing that's getting me is like--Kanaya had those because interest in fashion, I don't think she would like....wear those out and about so much, and also, her interest in fashion is specifically stated to be unusual. and the only other times besides her that we've seen trolls wear things that were higher than their caste, it was things like Sollux matching his colors to his psionics, or Nepeta wearing her moirail's color. like that is what is specifically interesting to me here. excluding Kanaya, we've never really seen a troll just....casually wear a color that would be associated first and foremost with a caste higher than them, unless it's because that caste color is their moirail's color or related to their psionics somehow. and even Kanaya didn't seem to wear her fashionable dresses like, out and about all the time. this is a huge portion of Stelsa's casual outfits that's just bright pink. maybe it is a Secret Alliance so it can't be proper tyrian. or maybe it's like spitting in Trizza's face :P it's probably actually just the reason behind the comment 'no accounting for taste'. but I can dream.
....hum. I don't know if this was mentioned, but Marvus's hat has a sign on it that is a purple-caste sign. we can assume it's not his, because his true sign is covered, but.... the sign on his hat? it's called 'sign of the audacious'.
Spoiler YES, a leak troll! THANK YOU!... Okay, what's up with him? Aradia claims trolls don't bury their dead or indeed particularly care what happens to them (and I headcanon them as being willing to eat them), so he's not a gravedigger. Unless it was within Aradia's lifetime that they stopped doing that? I don't know if they'd care enough about that branch of science to run a body farm but maybe it's related to their biotech? What does "troll Judaism" even entail? Is she a Sufferist? Wouldn't that kind of be the opposite of troll Judaism?
Spoiler: oh my god please let him just be WEIRDLY INTERESTED in decomposition of bodies and stuff. please.
Difference between caring on a personal and a social level? I mean, one could say humans "don't care" about solving the mess caused by corrupt government, but most of the board members as individuals very much do.
Spoiler: troll call orthodox decompositionist definitely sounds religious to me, and would make sense since the troll calls usually have a connecting theme—this one might be religion i’m parsing it as “believes in the burial of bodies as a religious practice” because death practices are many and varied and “don’t bury their dead” could just refer to what the majority of trolls do. americans embalm our dead (ugh), but that’s certainly not the only death option available, even in the US buuuut i’m hugely biased because that’s what i personally think would be coolest, so ymmv :p
