Seems plausible! I tend to prefer the "is a queen troll" theory for them myself, but that's the joy of nonspecific canon.
I've seen a theory that trolls don't have biological sex as such, but evolved to mimic some other, now-extinct species that did, and kept the 'secondary sex characteristics' and the genders they'd picked up to mimic this extinct species better.

Also am I the only one disappointed by troll and human sex apparently being compatible? It was a lot funnier to go with the headcanon that neither of them would recognise what the hell the other species was doing.

Yeah, but it's much funnier if parts of it that one is expecting to be similar aren't and parts that one isn't expecting to be (i.e. highly specific celebrities) are. Everyone is referencing Simba at the "Remember who you are" line in the Soleils' route and I'm apparently the only one who fills in "remember what you did to Marni" instead.
Also, hotdog-juggling clown has appeared multiple times and so has what appears to be his ancestor in a portrait in the Soleils' route, wearing the same face-like sign which isn't in the purple section of the EZ, so either it's establishing that there are more signs or the artist(s) got it mixed up with this violet one, which doesn't have the "eyebrows" hotdog clown's sign has.
The SFW party was only SFW by human standards and was actually a pale orgy. C'mon, in one route a troll refuses a simple pat on the back because he's pale for someone else and now we have a bunch of trolls holding hands with strangers, reading poetry in front of them, and crying?
The torture equipment stash the Soleils have includes a tickling machine alongside chainsaws, drowning tanks, and death traps, and it's confirmed that they didn't put any of the equipment there, so apparently some highblood had it just lying around among their actual torture machines. I know it's Rule of Funny, but in Watsonian terms I can think of two possibilities; either tickling is somehow physically harmful to trolls, or a troll would be expected to walk away with just as much ease from all the other devices.
Okay, a thing I noticed. In #18, there are multiple references to Alternia having SUNS, in the plural. I'm fairly sure that's never been part of canon before. Am I remembering wrong?
According to the mysterious V's twitter the character's class and aspect isn't taken into account with the writing but another writer said it was. Who's lying?
neither of them are lying; V said they personally did not take it into account, but other writers (like oh_laloh, who does) might. from this tweet: “i can’t speak for the other writers” every time they’ve brought it up they’ve made it clear that each writer has a slightly different process, it’s not like if one writer uses the extended zodiac they all must or else they’re lying.
