I'm partway through playing Final Fantasy IV, and it was just pointed out to me that during the part of the game when Kain is mind-controlled, he basically comes across as trying really, really hard to get in spades with Cecil and being really, really bad at it.

also mood: aziraphale calling him "my dear" all the time and crowley calling him "angel" in return. techn ically accurate but....still. can't believe how married they are throughout the entire book.

 

Don't forget the fact that Anathema hears them doing that and decides "she'd been perfectly safe after all" and that Shadwell meets both of them independently and concludes they're both gay.
