unrelatedly I'm listening to the w359 playlist on Spotify and OMG @OnnaStik THE SPIRITED AWAY THEME IS ON HERE. THIS SUPPORTS YOUR AU.
Spoiler: Things That Break Other Things livethoughts JACOBI even as a narrator Cutter's voice creeps me out ooooooh are we talking back to Kepler and his stories Oh, of course only before they worked together. Going all Shakespeare on us, heh. ah, eye problems? :( Okay, what is the deal with this. What did he break that shouldn't be broken. oooooh. ooooooooooooh And so of course he gets sucked into a place where "two people died" isn't so big a deal~ and works off "this planet" And then when the thing happens where he's sure he can't defuse the thing and Kepler locks them in, there's this echo of yes I love it
http://personalinsanitymoment.tumbl.../so-was-this-the-first-time-cutter-and-rachel He said my idea was compelling!!! :D :D .... on another note, I'm sad about Hera basically all the time
Spoiler: Decommissioned liveflailing What's that she's saying? "A little more time"? THIS MEANS SOMETHING. The way Hera talked about her evaluation before made it sound like she just wound up on the Heph because her personality was too abrasive for Earth-based applications... this seems like she's important enough to them to put effort into her. What happened. What. Oh, okay, so that's just how it worked. Aaaaaah, Hera sass. But Hera programming stuff D: who did she try to kill yeah, I bet that's your experience, you fucker "not going to force anyone" ha ha fucking ha fUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU NOPE.JPG NOPETOPUS.GIF NOPE ROCKET DOT FUCKING PNG three months all alone after that ;_; In conclusion: I, too, am sad about Hera.
Plus I love "I just need a little more time!" as Spoiler: theorizing as above .. the last lines of the PREVIOUS cutter-rachel-hera negotiation, before they turned her back off, messed with her code, and turned her on again, rather than the last lines of, idk, her doomed attempt to go rogue.
So, have not yet read the whole thread because spoilers, but I just finished episode 14, hoping to heaven that Hera comes back because I kinda... ship her with Eiffel? I feel like Eiffel/Minkowski is like the Official Ship but I've never been into "belligerent sexual tension" (and I can't do Eiffel/Hilbert because them sharing a voice actor just... makes it weird for me.) I am so here for crazy spooktastic conspiracy-laden high-stakes what's-out-there how'd-it-get-in-here SPACE GHOSTS drama, I only mind the kinda hackneyed dialogue a little bit.
Just finished episode 16 and I want Eiffel to date the computer real bad ETA: He just sounds so good saying her name ok... like he really enjoys saying it...
The fact that Kepler's VA often sounds like he's reading right off of his script for, like, the second time ever oddly enhances the overall effect of sliminess
the ups line made me cry and please keep in mind that i listened to that episode four episodes in on accident so i had NO IDEA what was happening i was just super upset about it
I'm starting to like Jacobi. His actor has a nice, sort of distinctive voice. His conversation with Kepler in "Things That Break Other Things"... a ship is perhaps being born...
HOLY FUCKING SHIT THE NEW BACKSTORY EPISODE IS ABOUT EIFFEL NOT KEPLER I DID NOT EXPECT THIS AT ALL HOLY SHIT THE THINGS IN THIS EPISODE
IT'S EIFFEL IT'S EIFFEL IT'S EIFFEL Spoiler: liveflail oooh that response hurts okay but what part got him in tho wait he was properly Air Force? was that an Edict Zero ref?! yeeeeah that would be the reaction okay so he himself considers whatever he did wrong ANN ANN ANN DAUGHTER HE HAS A DAUGHTER I guess that's a point in the "custodial interference" column. Damn. And in conclusion: that was brutal.
