I just put brand new sheets on my bed, and there's already this big black spot in the middle. Spoiler
I haven't seen any scaly friends on here yet, which makes me sad. To make up for it, have Syd, who is a nine-month old leatherback bearded dragon: [/IMG] Spoiler: My best side :} Also his elders and betters, Lupin (tabby) and Tiger (ginger) - Spoiler: New bed selfie :3 :3
My icon is my Green Cheek Conure, Foggy. Here he is looking disheveled during the molting times: And here he is looking sleepy on my shoulder: http://eschatolegation.tumblr.com/tagged/gcc
I have a scaly friend too! Her name is Lola and she sits on my shoulder sometimes which makes for prime lizard selfies. Spoiler: shitty snapchat lizardphoto
What does it say about me that one of the first things I did on here was seek out the appropriate place to put pictures of my guinea pigs The brown-and-white one is Floyd, the orange-faced one is Gus They're brothers, both four years old Spoiler: too many guinea pig pictures
Fun fact, my mom wanted Gus to be named Pink so they'd be Pink and Floyd. When I got them they were named Bill and Ted (I think Floyd was Bill and Gus was Ted?) but their previous human gave me permission to re-name them.
ARE YOU GUYS READY FOR HORSE SPAM? I volunteer at a local barn weekends >w< and I get to ride lots of horses as a result, so here have all my favorite babies!! Spoiler: Chance Chance is the first guy I started riding consistently. He's an ex-racing thoroughbred, he has a craazy trot and he's super friendly and cute and had a wonderful smooth lope uwu i loved working with him but unfortunately it looks like he has some problem with his hind legs so now he's only allowed to walk/trot for the time being, and he's mostly working with beginners, so I'm not riding him anymore Spoiler: Loretta! Loretta's the go-to horse the barn has for beginners and one-time riders, so unfortunately she picks up bad habits from having so many beginning riders on her, so I ride her here and there to help remind her of manners and give her a break from the unsteady seat of beginners- especially lately, cause she's started threatening to buck when people ask her to pick up a trot, so last weekend I worked her a bunch to get her to stop that. She's really sweet once you get her to work with you though, and I do like riding her uwu Spoiler: Cisco Aaaah Cisco is a brand new horse at the barn, I rode him for the first time last monday!! We don't know what breed he is, but he looks like he might be part halflinger? but he holds his tail like an arabian.. he used to be a trail horse so he's not great about taking direction yet, pretty stubborn and nervous, but he reminds me of the boy i leased in high school and he's a huge sweetie when you're leading him around and I already love him >w< I wish I could see him tomorrow but I'm falling ill and I have a lot of homework to do so I don't have the time/energy to go to the barn this weekend ;-; sooo yes!! those are the not exactly my pets but the horses I ride/have ridden a lot recently and i love them all a lot. I'm rly excited to ride cisco more, I'm hoping by midterms I'll be able to lope him and get him going around the arena pretty well.. definitely going to miss the barn when I go abroad next term
@IndigoRiffRaff I don't do it much any more, but some years ago I fostered guinea pigs and various other critters for a friend who ran a small animal rescue :3 My favourite boys were Ginko and Thorn - Ginko was a really chill older boar who - and had been housed with a rabbit and given up someone found out that wasn't right - basically lived for snuggles, but Thorn had had a really rough start in life. Spoiler: Mentions of animal abuse/neglect His mum had been found in a bare hutch at the bottom of a garden with three males, and only lived long enough to give birth to and wean Thorn and his sister. I feel like she must have told him horror stories about the cruelty of men, because he was very scared and nervous when I first got him - to the point where he squealed and bit if you tried to pick him up unexpectedly - and it's a point of pride with me that he was much better and calmer by the time he went off to his forever home with Ginko. Spoiler: Ginko (Mushishi fans will get this reference) Spoiler: As much of Thorn as I could ever photo XD I spoiled all my fosters thoroughly, but these boys were the ones that stayed in my heart XD
aaaahhhhh Ginko is so round!!! and Thorn's lil hairdo!!!! (if you have more pictures of guinea pigs I would love to see them)
I just found this thread so have a v blurry picture of my pupper Spoiler: spoiler because it's a huge photo
