last night i took Morgan into a deep dive of Toontown Online's culture and some insight into what it was like playing the game regularly at the time

i showed her some of the Toontown Nightlife stuff, as well as some videos about hacking the game from back in the day (including client-side text hacks on CheatEngine and TT Injector, a code injector that you'd literally shove into the running Toontown session via a dll injector program)

i always love talking about Toontown, it's one of my favorite games of all time :')

 

the two of us invented this game where she goes on discogs and searching for album compilations for sale with a Rush song on them and she had me guess what song was on it, it was a lot of fun :)

 

i think about this a lot

 

i hope the CD for Islands by Kajagoogoo drops in price soon, it's weirdly expensive

 

someone from an oldweb core discord server i'm in sent me their 7.5 hour long new wave playlist on spotify and honestly it's all bangers

 

i have since learned the true antithesis of rock music is actually, in fact, Pet Shop Boys

yesterday i saw the clip of AHS 1984 where Richard kills Kajagoogoo and i'd just like to say that is the worst fucking Limahl actor i have ever seen. that looks nothing like Limahl, sounds nothing like Limahl, and honestly the mannerisms are off too. and the lack of Nick Beggs' poodle hair made me sad.
