just went back to double check the minimum word requirement for Drone Season fics and found out that rather than it being 3k like I thought, it's 1k

I'm already at 1,149 words and feel like I've got a decent handle on where this is going, so #winning

Also I figure since I was aiming for hitting a minimum of 3k and figured it would probably end up more like 5k because everyone in Homestuck is a wordy asshole and I don't know how to restrain myself, that puts me at a reasonable percentage of completion for my deadline. Yay! ^______^

Man, just found out that the distraitverse stories were deleted off the archive by the author because they were being harassed so much they wanted to disappear.

this is a very good news/bad news sort of night

 

so, good news: I got a call back from the new doctor's office with my bloodwork and found out that all of my stats are perfectly normal

now here's the funny part: by the BMI scale, I've gone from "overweight" (this was back when I was an active athlete and weighing in at 125-130lbs... and I'm 5'7") to "morbidly obese" (I am now actually chubby because Office Job, but weighing in at 220 and still 5'7")

so of course, the nurse is explaining all of the results and does pause for a moment to explain that my HDL is a bit low and my LDL is a bit high for those respective categories of cholesterol, and then when I asked her for target numbers (because I do actually want to keep an eye on my health!) she splutters a bit and has to explain that *technically* I'm still in the standard ranges, but I'm close enough to the border that they feel like they should mention it.

And she was being very polite about the whole thing, but I got a distinct vibe of "how are you hitting morbidly obese on the BMI scale and your bloodwork isn't a complete fucking disaster, what the shit? Well I better mention *something* to work on in case she's about to tip over the borderline into Bad Stats Land"

And I mean, I've been trying to eat more fruits and veggies and get more exercise because those are generally good things to do and I wanna get swole now that I've grown into my adult proportions instead of being this height and 90% limb like I was in grade school, but. this is me being hella smug because my bloodwork is good and I ain't even trying yet B7
