do we call the plenet-years something? if I understood our calender correctly right now we call parts of plenet's revolutions vaguely similar to earth year-time frames a 'year' so... uh... let us call the plenet revolutions "Ages" maybe? # five Moon Moon months into the fifth year of ASS is in the first Age # in a while we are like 6th MMM of Y2 of the Third Age, the Age of Arbitrarity # Gotta get proper fantasy bullshit era things in here
Each Plenet orbit is about twelve (Earth) years, so calling that an Age, given that it's a bit more than a decade would make sense. A "year" is twelve Moon Moon Months, and is approximately 360 Earth Days.
I vote for Plenet's orbits being called duodecades! We can call something longer an Age, like maybe ten duodecades (120 Earth years)?
That is an excellent name for twelve years! (I think that a full Plenet orbit is a bit more than 12 "years", but that number can be fudged)
at this point weve been riding on the 12 horse so much, we can cross the finish line on it, too ::D meaning, how about twelve duodecades, or 144 years to one age?
proposed goofy celebrations custom: on the last day of each duodecade one traditionally wears 12 of a clothing item of your choice. most who wear socks choose socks since that's only six pairs but still counts.
How do we have a tradition for the end of each duodecade when the colony is only half a duodecade old?
If you start a thread and nobody bites, are you supposed to continue it yourself or pretend like you never came up with it since nobody's interested?
I advise not leaving dangling Complaints/accusations like "since nobody is interested" at the ends of questions. Interest and ability to act on that interest are different things. When I feel like someone is pressuring me to do something I'm not ready to do, I really don't appreciate it.
Thank you. I don't mean to be confrontational about it. I'm frustrated because I want to take part in it but I'm not ready yet.
For what it's worth I was thinking less "why won't you play with me?" and more "do I need to apologize for how much I've been boring everyone the entire time I've been here in every single thing I've written ahahahaha what is self-esteem" which, I mean, I guess that probably counts as making other people feel guilty too but... I don't know where I'm going with this sentence, but my point is that it's fine with me if you need some time and it's also fine with me if you don't want to rp with me and it's fine with me if you did but now don't because of me saying that and I hope that doesn't come off as another guilt trip. Actually it's kind of reassuring becase if I really were totally awful to rp with and had the worst ideas and made everyone wish I'd go away like I'm half-convinced everyone is thinking then now I know you would say something! So thank you. That's nice in a totally backwards way.
@mysubaccount -fistbunp of solidarity re: what is self-esteem / halp anxiety- I'm currently sorta busy with stuff, but I'd totally love to join a RP at some point. How I'll have Kite at different places when she's usually glued to the library is a different question.
