I need to double-check pronunciation on these names:
@Wiwaxia: wih (as in "it") wa (as in "wax") ksee a (as in "uh")? emphasis on wax?
@KathyGaele Gaele as in "Gail"?
@Lissa Lysik'an - does the i in Lissa sound like ee or ih, and does "ss" sound like an s or a z? and Lysik'an - lee/lih, see/sih, can/cahn?


I am asking all these questions now so no one is bothered/misgendered/mispronounced. :) I'm a singer, I'm picky about how I pronounce things. Let me get it right the first time so I don't have to edit! Also, if you're not sure what I'm getting at with pronunciations, I can record examples and you can tell me if I'm right - or you can just send me a recording, that works too.


Now I just need to buy a decent microphone so this actually sounds good...

Any pronouns for me, but I imagine that people who know Bloom use "he" or "she" more than "they".

 

For names, Cody, Codey, Codeless, or "That damn cat" works. Pronouns err, let´s go with They.

I use she/her pronouns! My internet nickname tends to be Liese, but you can also call me Mushroom if you want.

 

@a tiny mushroom, how would you pronounce Liese? Would it be "leez", "lee-AYZ", "lyez", "LEE(s/z)-uh", "lee-EHZ"...

 

@Kaylotta I personally pronounce it "leez", but some people say it like "lease". I usually go with "leez". (Apparently the proper German pronunciation is "lee-zah" but but I not German so. Apologies to any Germans for mangling your names)

EDIT: I use it as a nickname from Liesel, which is pronounced "lee-zel" so I think that makes "leez" the most logical pronunciation, even if it's technically incorrect so uh. Yes. Leez!

 

@Kaylotta Kite is not picky regarding pronouns, but it likes to go by "it" because that's already in the name and therefore easy to remember. (But seriously, whatever you (and that's to all of the yous in this thread) think fits best, just no nounselfs)

@IvyLB is in the assfuck of nowhere atm and can't respond, they'll be back sunday around evening in our timezone, so around 36 hrs, give or take.

 

I am sometimes going to crowded and/or loud spaces, so more sensitive colony members don't have to.

SS works fine for a name, I don't mind whether it's pronounced as Ess Ess or *loud hissing noise* because I do both. If you don't like that for whatever reason then... idk, Spades?
Pronouns... bluh. Any of he/she/they work fine. SS is very difficult to misgender.

Man tho, I am so fuckin' excited that Kintsugi Community Radio is gonna be an actual thing. And I'm intrigued to know what could possibky be said about me given that my usual behaviour is to occasionally crawl out of the woodwork ti make a comment then crawl back in immediately afterwards.
