>Thank you, Keeper. Took the words right out of my mouth, Merrill. Is this the way? It isn't, huh. OKAY, CREEPY SHADOW MONSTER, I'M GOING, STOP GRABBING MY NECK It's NOT this way #confirmed
Weird and worth checking out later, but not the way either. Aha! Oh for god's sake. On the plus side, though, I get this ability which means that people don't get ever get injuries (minuses to max health after dying). Time to sell off those injury kits! Hello, familiar cave. Hello, familiar spiders! And unfamiliar dead body. I suspect this was randomly generated low-level loot, but I'm still kinda sad they died with an empty quiver.
This happens to me a lot. I was playing DAI and fighting a mob and two of the corpses had one half each of a lover's knot. Sort of sorry i killed you two, but you also were trying to murder me.
^Merrill. Go ahead then, get up and attack me. ... No? Ugh, I should have brought Varric. Goodbye, mysteriously-not-undead corpses.... that says something about my expectations, huh. I'm stealing his BOOTS?? 's cool, he's busy.
Trained in the Newton Geiszler school of running away, I see. giant spider fiiight >Why did he run? SOMETIMES I REGRET BEING PURPLEHAWKE Given the last words that came out of Sparrow's mouth, I feel like I should point out that the middle option is not sarcastic-purple but rather friendly-purple. >_?
@blue Spoiler: On a tangentially related note Re: the recurring theme of "my game's spiders are bigger," I thought of one other thing that has spiders about as big as RH spiders, besides that one super-demon in DAI. Okami.
P much! Pol is a character you meet in DA:O. In that game he only recently escaped his Alienage to join the Dalish. So at this point he's been with the Dalish for 4 years... about time to have earned his Vallaslin, but maybe they left him without to better indicate his origins (it's also why he says "thank Andraste" and then corrects himself!)
>Do you want some time? So I had to replay a bit to get back to this scene, and with the sound on I discovered that: 1) Merrill's "you shouldn't have run" is accompanied by some heartbreaking sobbing 2) the "why did he run?" line from Hawke is in fact pretty hostile-sounding. Hence the rivalry gain, I guess. Dammit, game, you didn't WARN me it was going to be mean. :| Spoiler: Codex - Varterral In the days before Arlathan, there was a city in the mountains beloved by Dirthamen, Keeper of Secrets. Its people were wise beyond measure, thanks to his counsel, and the city flourished. Then a high dragon settled in the mountains, and her hunger threatened the city. The elders cried out to Dirthamen for protection as the dragon's rampages struck ever closer, and for three days and nights, the people shut themselves in their homes and watched the skies in dread. On the fourth day, Dirthamen heard them. He whispered into the mountains and the fallen trees of the forest gathered, shaping an immense and agile spider-like beast. It was the varterral. With lightning speed, vicious strikes, and venomous spit, it drove back the serpent. From then on, it was the guardian of the city and its people. Many years passed. The gods were trapped by Fen'Harel and the people left to gather in Arlathan, but the varterral kept its everlasting vigil, guarding Dirthamen's city as it eventually crumbled to dust. To this day it stands there, watching over the rubble. Any travelers foolish enough to wander there find themselves face to face with wrath incarnate. —From The Tale of the Varterral, as told by Gisharel, Keeper of the Ralaferin clan of Dalish elves Oh, NOW the ambush skeletons are attacking me. GO AWAY I'M BEING SAD ABOUT ELVES ...Was the frost horror wearing heels?
