>What's the job? >Investigate >You can hire civilians? Oo, burn. :D >Investigate >Who are we up against? >Investigate >How did you find out? >Investigate >Why not tell the other guards? Accept the quest? >_?
He grew up the only non-mage in the family other than Leandra, joined the army, immediately ran into a battle where everyone died catastrophically, went back home, discovered monsters destroying his home, witnessed his sister's death ... plus yeah he's got a crazy inferiority complex.. Still, tho, this level of indiscriminate hostility is a bit much. EDIT: PS, I switched to .gif screenshots to save space, is their compression distractingly awful?
>Hawke: Leave the Keep K, just a sec. Varric, help me with this? ... Aveline, just look away, yeah? Varric learns so much from picking this lock that he levels up. (whistling)
>Hawke: Consult map 1. Viscount's Keep. Aveline here! Otherwise poncy nobles and that guy who kicks the wall. The Chantry is next to it on the map but the label obscures it - you can get to it through Hightown. 2. Hightown. Fancy bastards in big noble houses. Merchants, too. 3. The Hanged Man. Haven't been here yet. Varric insists it's the only pub in town worth going to. 4. Lowtown. Home, sweet home. 5. Gamlen's house. Technically this is home sweet home, but I'd rather not think about it. 6. Same places, but at night. Why is that on the map? What an odd map. Up top: Sundermount proper. Down and to the right: Aveline's ambush site. Where should I go first? >_?
Wait guys, I've got it. He just feels left out of the family bird naming theme. He wants to be Tit Hawke.
(Someone please draw Hawke driving a car up a mountain road with Varric shotgun and Carver and Aveline staring suspiciously at each other in the back, with a bunch of swords and staves strapped to the rack on top of the car)
>Hawke: She'll be comin' round the mountain, she'll be comin' round the mountain.. To the elfs! Aw shit spiders Sparrow Hawke doesn't care about friendly fire (I think it's turned off in Settings) I don't know why these spiders carry health potions and injury kits, but 0k. Elf root, for elves, Codex summarized: grows everywhere, excellent for healing. Elfs! ..They're very well-armed...
I wish I could convey their heavy Welsh accents through captioning. >Investigate >What did you call me? >Investigate >What are the Dalish? (None Pizza with Left Elf is speaking here.) I.. I mean, I'm not getting a SUPER friendly vibe, but admittedly elves have reason to be wary.. >_?
(I'm going out for a few hours; Hawke will have to stand there in an awkward staring contest with these folks for a while.)
