I like how Hawke is just hanging her head, like, oh god make it stop. Also, Aveline, easy for you to say, when almost all of your culture and history hasn't been wiped out except for what's been preserved or rediscovered by people like Merrill.
I think we should do whatever will move us towards Officially Romancing Fenris the quickest, because maybe then the game will stop thinking we're romancing Isabela :P
@adisagestar Good point! The next step in fenrismancing is to leave Kirkwall to go to Sundermount with Fenris in tow. We should get a quest that makes us do that!
>either murders or Fenris. Also yes hello, binging this thread in three days was a Good Life Decision(TM)
I believe Yevhen will ask us to go outside of the city, which should work for Fenris? Let's try that.
Yeah, that's vallaslin. Andruil's, I think, which is ??? for a dwarf to have... Oh! You know, there's an elf in act 3 with a dwarven caste marking for no good reason - I'm thinking that either the textures or the pointers to the textures are messed up, so Yehvan doesn't have the casteless brand he should have, and act 3 dude ought to have vallaslin. (Which makes him suddenly a lot of more interesting...)
@KarrinBlue yeah, you can see in the closeup that he's got the bow-and-arrow of, uh, whichever one is the hunter. >What exactly did I do? >_?
@Mercury yeah, there aren't a huge amount of casteless dwarves who are members in good standing in the Dwarven Merchants' Guild, are there?
> your sons sound like morons (sorry but......... really....... you'll meet them, they're morons.........)
Probably more than there are elves with casteless brands :D Spoiler: act 3 spoilers But seriously, if I'm right, this means the elven blood mage Meredith has Hawke hunt down should have vallaslin, meaning he was originally Dalish but for some reason living in Kirkwall with his non-Dalish wife - which was clearly a mistake, as he ended up dragged to the Circle as an apostate. So many questions there - why did he leave his clan, and how and why did he end up in Kirkwall?
Spoiler Possibly the blood magic, although his wife described him as a kind, good person - it seems more likely that the blood magic came later, when he was desperate to leave the Circle. Kirkwall seems to really fuck with mage's heads when they're desperate. The marriage thing I doubt, because if his clan was so insular that they would have kicked him out for marrying outside of the clan, he would have had a hard time finding someone to marry outside of it to begin with. There are a lot of reasons he could have ended up in Kirkwall. He could have been kicked out of his clan, or left of his own volition - which may have been due to disagreement, or more peaceable reasons (like Dalish of the Chargers in DAI is told to get life experience before returning to her clan). He might have been a surplus mage and left to find a new clan, but fell in love with a city elf along the way. His clan could have been attacked and mostly killed and he was one of the few - or the only - survivor. It'd be an interesting subject for fic. And whatever the case, it makes it make a lot more sense than some random city elf somehow managing to be an apostate undetected well into adulthood.
