Also, talk to Aveline because the dialogue you have with her at this point is my absolute favorite in the entire game

And it's a good thing Varric does that, because without him you have to have a set diplomatic or aggressive personality to either cajole or threaten Gascard into helping you. With purple, he just helps Quentin, because he's a lying goddamn bastard. :T
