Demons, of course, have no form in our world. When they enter, either where the Veil is particularly thin or through blood magic summoning, they must take possession of a body.

When a pride demon takes control of the corpse of a mage, an arcane horror is born. Although they appear to be little more than bones, these are fierce creatures, possessing not only all the spellcasting abilities of a living mage, but also the capacity to heal and even command other animated corpses.

Anyway we killed it, and also a bunch of skeletons.


'K, just gonna.. paw thru this corpse's possessions real quick.. look, it has a health potion!

At least the arcane horror had some #r4d l00t

I'll add new Codex entries as we come upon them. Yay lore!

Heartwarming friendship level up! Companion get!
In DA2, you can bring three companions with you at a time. For balance's sake, your party should have at least one each of mage, rogue and warrior. Right now we have:
Hawke - mage
Merrill - mage
Carver - warrior
Aveline - warrior
Varric - rogue

Varric Merrill and Aveline sounds like a good party i think!
