Merrill is reacting to the Hanged Man tavern, Aveline to the fact that we're near the ambush.


As soon as we defeat the first batch, another batch drops down behind us. :|

congratulations Aveline :) This seems like exactly the sort of purpose she needs in her life. I want to wish her well with it but it occurs to me that we're probably going to drag her with us on a quest within the next few days, so...

Again, there are three choices but they're not diplomatic-humorous-aggressive. The top and bottom just have "dialog choice" icons, and the middle is.. the never before seen "Flirt" icon!!

(it's "I'm glad I won't lose you," I'm just mousing over it so you can see the icon.)

I'm torn between flirting and >good work. I'm proud of you. I've heard of other characters who I might want to romance more for the sake of story and stuff but I didn't even know that romancing Aveline was an option aaaaaa

 

Flirting with people doesn't necessarily commit you to romancing them :D
