In the interests of our successfully friendmancing Fenris, here's a slightly spoilery tip that you can look at or not look at as you like: Spoiler Fenris will approve of "I'll take that risk" and disapprove of negotiating. Luckily, we're badass enough that Feynriel will be fine if we risk it.
>I'll risk that. Guided by a mix of hope, divinely narratorially granted foresight and eagerness to impress our broody elf, we make a sort of questionable decision. I'll just interpret that as a bluff, Hawke. Haha, knew it. Fenris, we still would have killed him EVENTUALLY, even if we pretended to negotiate. Come on. A pointlessly long fight ensues, during which reinforcements arrive and surround Merrill without my noticing. WHOOPS. I wouldn't have, I.. ok, no, that's fair. I was guided by the voices in my head! >_?
>He wouldn't have done it. Sure, let's go with that. I know you've had a rough day, kid, so I'm not gonna get annoyed about your being overdramatic. But. I'm sure you guys can guess which choice Fenris will approve of, but does Sparrow Hawke's moral compass point strongly enough in a different direction to override the potential of elf approval? Probably..? But who knows! Tune in next time to find out! (By which I mean vote.) >_?
>I'm a mage. Hey, how come I can't cast that spell normally? XP Well, he's got the flat nose-bridge, but not the ears.. And with that, we're back to diplomatic/humorous/aggressive. >_?
