Ah, sorry. I think the immediate-completion was so that they could give you the 50 silver reward - the "enclosed payment." It gave us another quest with the same name immediately. And then, unrelatedly, I went to check if I had any cutscenes queued up with Carver, and this one's following up on our breaking into the basement and getting the will.
