See, after the Kinloch revolt, he went all Chantry-fanatical. No one was helping him deal. And the Templar Order, still at that time acting on behalf of the Chantry, used that. I don't know how self-aware he's become by now, but he's got good reasons to be cynical about the Chantry. I wonder how much of that we'll see.
