This next part isn't terribly interesting. Cassandra and Solas say a couple things about how we should go quickly and which direction it is, in case the player has gotten lost, and we walk...

And we fight things...

And we do a tutorial for the more effective fighting of things...

And we discuss the relative merits of truth versus bullshitting when one is in deep, deep trouble...

Sadly, none of the dialogue wheels so far have had "be Varric Motherfucking Tethras" as an option (plus I think Cass' head might have exploded if she'd had to deal with TWO of him). Anyway, more demon-fighting...

The non-melee seem to be having a small problem, but Wren will save them!

Also, odds of a character as cool as Leliana being killed offscreen so early in the game are very low.

I'm wondering if anyone has any strong opinions on whether we should also vote on the disposition of Wren's ability points, or just leave that kind of game-mechanics stuff to me. I'm not under any kind of time crunch to use it or anything, just ponder that as we continue...

 

We could just vote on which branch of the tree we want you to go into for each level, and then you can pick which ones within that tree.

 

With the demons gone, Cass orders the gate unbarred, and while the guards are doing that, people talk some more.


Once we're through, we hear Leliana arguing with some other, less important NPC:

I hate this guy already. Leliana seems to share that opinion.

I thought I might wait till tomorrow to post the results, but they were a fairly short conversation and then what looks like a real, serious, plot-affecting decision!
