Hm. Considering that we seem to be going with the idea of "if there's heavy vegetation, there's at least a thin atmosphere", we might end up needing to do a lot of potted plants along the bridges? But I definitely agree that it's not gonna work well for transit if the bridges don't have at least enough atmosphere to make it possible for people to cross regularly.

You need at least a bit of sunlight. Maybe you can be half-nocturnal?

Question. Are these shards movable at all? Like, if I put enough force on a side, would it move? And are we going to just use one shard or connect a bunch of them together?

Also what are the naming conventions for shards? OVIR is apparently from Shard 1071 - Ac65...is that a random combination of letters and numbers or is there a meaning behind it

I've been assuming shards could move and some of them were already moving. It would allow Cedar's house shard to crash into Kintsugi shard, and *whispers* airship

I think we can safely say that we did accidentially the laws of physics a little bit because floating chunks of earth with atmosphere. But maybe we didnĀ“t them entirely.

Also, is gravity always "down" or does it depend on the shard you're on?

floating around the top of the shard's atmosphere or something
    "this is fine"

Maybe there's some kind of heavy object where the earth was before and that causes some gravity. Like a ball of super dense cooled magma

And if there is magic can we harness it for ourselves or is it just sort of the stuff holding the atmosphere on the shards

MAYBE THE MAGMA COOLED AND EXPANDED AND THAT CAUSED THE LANDMASSES TO ALL SPLINTER OFF INTO SPACE
