Lin Manuel wrote and performed a "we didn't start the flame war" parody about the McElroy brothers as an opening for their Brooklyn show in Kings theater and I'm losing my goddam MIND

I'm intensely reminded how much I would not enjoy a live show, audience cheers over the lyrics are like, are you here enjoying the show or are you enjoying interrupting?? Fingers crossed for a version where the mic is on stage.

What I can hear is a delightful collage of McElroy references, which is very fun!

 

the recording in the actual podcast episode is a lot easier to hear (still has cheers but the balance is better). it's the first couple minutes of the most recent live show, ep 482.

Can I just say. Graduation arc has been a DELIGHT so far. I just about died laughing at the Firbolg in the accounting class.

 

Okay, legit question that has been buggin me since ep 3 though: has.... has Clint McElroy ever once in his life seen a whole and alive squirrel? Or did he think their tails were just loose bits of fluff that flop behind them???
