Feelings have been thoroughly felt, I am sick of seeing the news going on in our actual world, let's do some robits.
"Even Tailgate knows that" seems like it's going to become a widely used cultural bar, huh. Also listening to Metric's "Help, I'm Alive" feels appropriate to this intro.
AAAAAAAAAAA okay, understanding why Fort Max is a mess jegus fuck that torture chamber panel is horrifyingly well done
I forget, have you read Last Stand of the Wreckers yet? It gives some more stuff about Fort Max and Garrus-9 and Overlord.
I actually laughed out loud. This comic so far is excellent at timing & correctly applying comic relief, which is... kind of necessary, given.
I have not! This is the first canon robits I have explored - all other knowledge is second or thirdhand through fans.
It might be good to read that before you get too much further into MTMTE. It gives some background that gets referenced.
Swerve's ability to skate by on optimism, denial, and general wackiness will never get less preternaturally successful despite all odds, I think.
I appreciate the thought, but I get confused when I try to have too many continuities going simultaneously when I don't understand the universe well yet at all - I'll ask clarifying questions if I need them on the way, but I am reading with my sister hanging out with me, and they have a bit broader fandom knowledge and can fill in info like "what was G9" in a way that keeps me from getting confused.
Internal Process Note: I'm still getting used to visually parsing the robots. Like, I'll look at a panel and read all the speech bubbles, but kind of skate past what's happening visually at first... and then something clicks and I'm like wow that's really well composed! So I'm making sure I'm taking the time to try to let my brain get to that step, because the art is really fantastic... my brain is just still struggling to parse robot-shapes.
This gives me shivers. I'm... gonna have to think about that, in context of some of my other stories.
