sorry about that! it didn't occur to me that it'd cause badthoughts.

true. though i have a feeling that's a thing his masters usually aren't aware of, not exactly something he bothers with or advertises. like, he can project a Don't Fuck With Me type thing but... he often just doesn't wanna put in the effort.

sometimes he does stuff like an Evil Laugh or Ominous Unnecessary Lightning, which ends up coming off as really silly 'cause, like, it just doesn't fit with his style.

and like, in fairy idol, at the start, he tried to help/insult/whatever the mayor with a video of What Not To Wish For, which was also What People Always Wish For and What The Mayor Wished For, not make it clear that he could fuck him up. in genie meanie mini moe, cosmo and wanda basically did it for him and he had to convince timmy he wasn't that bad. and in back to norm, he was crocker's ally until he got fed up and bored with it, and i think crocker was very surprised to see norm enact his revenge plan upon him. and there's him trying to trick chester into trusting him in fairy idol. other than the mayor example, all of those had to do with plans and stuff, so... maybe not perfect for my point but... i think it's entirely possible for people to miss just how dangerous norm can be, the way he presents himself.

and yep, i was doubting it for basically those reasons but... the slot needed to be filled and he was the only one offering himself up as a candidate so...

it's definitely normal but... for me, it was pretty weird having feels about pearl that are just about as intense as my feels about norm the genie. thus the thinking about it.

Only that I think some people were trying to find the limits of Norms powers (FOR SCIENCE, probably). Which, well, they'd be at that for a long time.
I don't remember anything else about it, but that's more than I usually remember anyway

rewatching the norm eps and thinking them in comparison to the tango, it's interesting seeing how norm seems much less confident in the tango than he does in the eps and much more caring in the tango than in the eps. and how that reminds me of myself, of how i changed as i grew up, and how that means - despite the anxious part of me saying i'm writing him wrong - the character development i did with him in the tango makes sense for me.

and i'm gonna quote the post swirl made in the tango ooc thread a while ago, since that also reassures me about my characterization of norm and my norm characterization seems like something that i might end up anxiously perservating on for a while.

yep, cosmo was the pregnant one, and juandissimo was "madly in love with wanda." poof and juandissimo are purple, cosmo is green, and wanda is pink. but all that information combined doesn't end up actually meaning anything, 'cause cosmo being the pregnant one removes the significance of juandissimo's colour and crush on wanda. people have also said, "well, then, cosmo cheated on wanda with juandissimo" but that doesn't really work either as an explanation.

the canon reason that poof is purple is apparently that he inherited the colour from his great-grandparents.
