K so I'm not saying you're wrong cause everyone has different opinions on what makes a house but imo IMO the traits are lies. Like Hermione is plenty determined and resourceful and clever and self-preserving but she's definitely a Gryffindor, I can see that. I think the houses have more to do with an approach to magic that becomes.... kinda like the political compass now that I think about it. One axis is a positive/negative view of change (change/preservation), and the other is forthrightness (honesty/trickery). Slytherin is trickery/change, which lends itself to sacrificial magic. Ravenclaw is trickery/preservation, which lends itself to illusionary magic. Hufflepuff is preservation/honesty, which encourages perseverance. Gryffindor is honesty/change, which encourages courage. And I have like a dot graph of each Beta character's position on those axes but basically, I think I view Terezi as change-adverse while you view her as change-positive. Which I can see, but don't agree with.
