I've always done that, actually. As have most of my friends, I think. Given that in canon they're paper white and ink black and a little more than strange origin-wise, adding the color callback is pretty fun to do, but I can see how it'd be disconcerting to follow the pattern with darker colors, potentially.
I love these snap updates! I hope we get a fair few of them over the next few months or so. I wonder how many there'll be today? And I wonder if Hussie has drawn these all out in advance? Maybe there are Christmas etc. snaps sitting on his computer now for December, aha. He could have had these all tucked away for a while...
