has anyone ever read the sburb glitch faq on ao3??? it's been in my bookmarks for a long time and it stopped updating in 2013 but i never got around to actually reading it and i was wondering if it was any good. sorry if this has been mentioned before--i eventually mean to read through this entire thread but right now it's too daunting. i just really love game mechanics meta and sburb lore, even if i'm not a hardcore gamer myself. if hussie (or anyone) ever wrote a book about that, i would probably read it in a heartbeat. also Super Excited to read the Double Death of the Author AU, b/c fix-it fic is My Jam, but i'm not sure when i'm gonna get around to it. side note: i can't do this right now b/c i have a million other things to do but i think a d&d AU where everyone's in college or something and is actually into d&d would be a lot of fun to play with. it's probably been done before but there are just so many possibilities!
The Glitch FAQ has some really, really great parts, but it's outdated as hell and officially abandoned. IIRC, someone on this forum found the author under a different handle and got the info that the Glitch FAQ got way out of hand and continuing it would be too daunting? But it has some really great stuff for meating out a SBURB session gameplaywise, and what can go horribly, horribly wrong.
Speaking of fic, does anyone have recs for good (or entertainingly bad) AU sessions? OCs preferably, crossovers okay as long as I don't have to know the source.
the only AU sessions i remember were the weirdly wildly popular rooster teeth sburb sessions boy howdy were those sure a thing
