https://www.seebs.net/minecraft.html should have the instructions. The server is "home.seebs.net:25568", I believe. (Port 25568 on home.seebs.net.) Shouldn't need the IP, the hostname should work.
I figure I'll put an explanation of the enderman farm here. It's hard to tell with the server being as ridiculously laggy as it is, but mobs still don't appear to be spawning. It's a shameless copy of this thing: As far as I can surmise, the idea is that the dark rooms above are supposed to spawn all sorts of mobs, which trigger the tripwire which causes the floors to move, basically forcing them all to fall through. Vines prevent fall damage until the official fall zone. The fall distance is designed to kill everything but endermen since they have 40 health, and supposedly they'll survive with 1 health at the bottom while not being able to escape (because they're tall). There might be a possibility of werewolves spawning and escaping with low health as well since they're also 40 hp mobs but are shorter (possibly only in villager form?), but eh. Hard to tell. Anyway then once the endermen or anything else die, the items they drop are automatically sorted into 2 chests (one is for pearls only, the other is for everything else). Mechanically it works fine, the tripwire causes all the floors to move, but the spawns just aren't happening. I've checked and the slabs intended for spawns appear to all be on the top layer. Is this a problem with being on a survival server and these possibilities for spawn areas are just too much for mobs to focus on spawning in the farm? I have no idea. My farm is a 5 storey model, about a quarter of the size of the one in this video, but yeah. Maybe it's just a lag issue, who knows. @seebs since he was asking about it and I don't think my messages got through before I disconnected (sup 5 minutes between typing about aeon steel and the words actually showing up).
Yeah, serious internet weirdness here, which is why the server's responding poorly. I activated a division sigil, and I am now collecting ore blocks and music discs. I'm at 11/12 (have to be all different discs) on music, and need either diamond or emerald ore.
So the pseudo-inversion sigil is in RRR. PLEASE PUT IT BACK WHEN YOU ARE DONE. For those unfamiliar: Craft iron, pseudo-inversion sigil, and diamond in a vertical column, you get an "Unstable/Stable Ingot", which can be used for things like rings that give creative-style flight, glass that only players can walk through, and swords that cannot be broken. The pseudo-inversion sigil makes the upgraded version that doesn't require you to craft everything within ten seconds or die. It's also a really, really, big pain to make.
@seebs Sorry about not being able to give you the records; I had the chest in my hand but there was a 2-3 minute delay between my doing something and it actually registering. Eventually I lost connection entirely; I went to the forum to tell you this but they were down, and by the time they were back up again I had forgoten.
You told me that you'd put a bunch of records in a chest, and that was the first seven or so of the set.
I thought you meant the zebras but then you told me to look again after the cow horse comment so I'm here with a perplexed look indeed upon my face
I honestly have no idea how to breed that one, but I was assuming it involved an unholy union of some sort
There was additional confusion because apparently that's actually elcheeso's cow collection, but Jesse thought it was K's and was pranking her. With his characteristic flair for pranks. I now have enough pneumaticraft stuff to make compressed iron. You might wonder who cares. Well, anyone who wants omnidirectional hoppers, which are the best thing ever, cares. Also I have enough warp that I can no longer walk away from the computer even in my home base. Whoops. On the other hand, I have some really fancy technology and magic now.
i didn't understand what cow horse had to do with zebra but if those aren't your cows then then who's driving the bus??? ok STARTING OVER i thought those were your cows and i put some zebras in with them to prank you. and then i basically put my underpants on my head and fell down a manhole, communication-wise. which tbh is probably funnier than the zebras, now that i think about it :D
