Hey all, just letting everyone know that I have horse spawners set up in the overworld and nether. That gives a constant supply of hearts of undead/darkness (overworld) and fire (nether). The nether spawner is located next to the wither skele spawner (0,23), and the overworld one is near my house (-46,5). Edit: Though I should mention that I don't really have an endless supply of power, so please turn the power off on the spawners when you're done with them.
BTW, speaking of building and stuff: Try to avoid building over or unmaking other people's stuff, there's infinite room to be had. I'm trying to keep my stuff in the central handful of chunks, and just expand vertically if I need more room.
More adventures in horses! Spoiler RIP Wriggler and BATholomew. Both victims of the wither and my stupidity in not spawning it in an enclosed space. :( A shitty photo, but the only one existing, of Porkerhontas the pegasus and... bat-something, the unicorn, who were sacrificed in the making of what I think might be the servers first fairy horse? I intend to make the full set eventually. Also these jerks did not drop their saddles on death, the wiki LIED. TOGEKISS. Deciding between pink and orange for the first fairy horse was hard but I went for the fruitcake version because it is great. He is a very lonely pokemon though, knowing his parents died to give him life :( A better view of his wings. I definitely want to create one of every type of horse, though I'm definitely going to need waaaaaaaaaaaay more space for that to be viable. For now I am creating the different colours of fairy horse :D
sorry to be a nudge, but have you had a chance to enable the agricraft resource crops? (assuming no one had any objections to this)
Maybe? What's it do and why do we need it? Anything it might conflict with? EDIT: Answer is, yes, it conflicts with 1.7.x minecraft. The page seems to only have stuff up through 1.6.4, except their underlying library is now updated I guess?
So my brother managed to get my other, theoretically much faster, computer to me, my wifi adapter arrived, and everything got successfully downloaded and installed (I think...) and now I am out of spoons for troubleshooting this thing. @seebs, or whoever else might be willing to take a crack at it, can you tell what is going wrong? Messages and Errors log at pastebin
That looks a whole lot like some things did not in fact get successfully downloaded and installed, because it looks like it's reporting that some files are not readable or something? Check available disk space, I guess.
@seebs Can you check out this crash at all? I really don't know what's up, sometimes I'm getting these back to back, and other times it's more or less fine. Occasionally it's a crash and other times the game just freezes, but the freezes don't appear to go down as crashes or anything. The launcher seems fine in these cases so I wouldn't expect it's related to the previous problems. Then again, who know. Pastebin of crash Edit: Almost forgot about this, I also lost 30 (or so) glass bottles and about 11 heart of undeads with one of the crashes. Ugh
I don't see anything obvious there. Like, I don't see an actual statement of what's wrong, so I have no clue.
The system tells me I've got 14.3 GB of available space. That sounds like plenty to me, but maybe I'm lacking perspective?
That should be plenty, yeah. I don't know what else might cause file problems. No clue. Maybe malware? I know nothing.
I think I've got it. In the process of getting everything installed (official Minecraft launcher, kintsugi launcher, and several months worth of system updates) I snagged on a couple unfamiliar features of Ubuntu and at one point deleted kintsugi-launcher.jar, hoping that would give me a clean start. This evening I had the idea to search for files with "craft" in the title. Anything not obviously associated with the official launcher (Minecraft.jar and the .minecraft folder) got cleaned out. Kintsugi-launcher is now downloading and installing everything (most everything? 600 ish items instead of 1300 the first time. guess I missed something) one more time. Here's hoping that does the trick.
