Do I set it to use the right version of java through the main launcher or the kintsugi launcher? Edit: never mind, I think I figured out where it goes but it didn't make a difference in the loading process. I'm gonna unistall and reinstall it again and probably give up if it doesn't work after that.
Where is it? Edit: Ok I think I fixed the java problem, and the game will launch now but it only gets through half the forge launcher before crashing.
I'm trying to play Agrarian Skies 2 and can't figure out how to automatically get items dropped by monsters dying in the mob drop tower to get into chests. ETA: Does anyone know how to do this without hungry chests?
You could use vanilla hoppers. It looks like you have extra utilities in the pack, you could use conveyor belts to drop everything into a central area, then into a single hopper connected to a chest. Then you could pipe it out, or dump it into an me network, or whatever. [Edit:] I just noticed open blocks on the list. Use a vacuum hopper if you can, they'll suck up everything around them and automatically dump it into the chest they're connected to. They'll even suck up xp, which you can store in an open blocks tank and then retrieve via right click. You can use fans to blow mobs into spikes if they don't die right away as well.
Vacuum hoppers appear to be disabled. I can try the vanilla hopper method, although I use spikes to kill the mobs, so I'm not sure how to get the items onto the conveyor belts...maybe Botania?
huh, it's not that vacuum hoppers are disabled, it's that Agrarian Skies 2 doesn't have OpenBlocks. you must've been looking at agrarian skies 1.
Are there any wands I could borrow? I lost my original a while ago, and only need 4 vis more to get a silverwood wand core :( After I get that, I can charge it and then get a lava generation setup started.
two things: what are everyone's favorite minecraft mods? I'm thinking of making a smaller/less resource intensive pack than the one we use for the modded server for fun. and @seebs can you reset the minecraft server please? I can't log in right now, and when i do i just fall through the void indefinitely.
kicked it. It doesn't *look* broken, but just in case. Things I really like include Thaumcraft, Blood Magic, Ender I/O, Applied Energistics, Ars Magica, Tinker's Construct. Flaxbeard's Steam Power is, I think, the primary resource-killer, also Mo Creatures and Decocraft. I have a stripped down variant I've been running also (in the launcher under "Kattbarb" for mysterious reasons), and it loads a LOT faster but still has most of the stuff. Mostly I'm just sad that the mod community was pretty stable around 1.7, and now we have stuff for 1.8, 1.9, 1.10, 1.11, and 1.12, but no version everyone seems to have agreed to work with.
Go for it! I have no idea what all is available for them. I'm fond of the thermal expansion/thermal dynamics/etc set of things, which give decent machines, I like Ender IO. Extra Utilities is amazing. Storage Drawers is pretty excellent. And so on. OpenComputers is my favorite of the programming mods. All the magic mods are at least sorta fun; we have like a half-dozen thaumcraft addons.
MOTHWORLD My dude--a moth named Haniel--is a world-architect-for-hire who goes to newly-purchased planets and develops them into massive playgrounds for the super-rich IIIIIN SPAAAAAACE. In this world, I am building his "hometown"--the base for his planet-scale project. The city of Milk sprawls under the red mountaintop behemoth Castle Imogen, and Haniel runs things from a hollowed-out hillside at the edge of the river that surrounds the city. He has designed himself as the town's Smith and takes good care of his villagers and their wildly colorful dwelling-place. Here is the map of how far from home Haniel has explored: idk guys I think it's time I made a little graph-paper guide to which map # are which spots on the big map. :B
I am a cheating cheater who cheats. I actually DO get the majority of my building materials and stuff the "honest" way, but since I'm playing survival, I have cheats enabled so I can give myself items and other perks one might need when one is a literal space-moth who is terraforming an entire planet. I have harvested all the clay for Imogen thus far honestly -- and need to do a whole lot more. I get things like plants and stone honestly... flowers for dyes, etc... but yo... like HELL am I going to try to acquire all the beacons I need to light this town and river. XD And mate, when I want to enchant, I'm going to damn well ENCHANT, and not grind levels for 3 weeks first. ;) I'm prolly gonna have to cheat magma stone to myself and some other things I can't get because I started this world waaaay before some updates and there isn't any in my nether. And I'm not about to fight that damn dragon for End stuff either. XD
I'm thinking of doing the Tree Spirit Challenge, does anyone know a modpack that might work well with that, preferably with questing that doesn't become impossible to do with the Tree Spirit rules?
I'd suggest something with Botania, both for max aesthetic and magic that'll help but I haven't done modpacks for a while so no specific suggestions, sorry. That does look interesting though!
Speaking of Botania: Server was acting weird, ran profiler, someone had a Botania setup, looked really cool, some ways out from origin, and it was ... not working right? Was chewing an immense amount of CPU time. So I made some boxes and put some spreaders in them and it seems to have stopped. Might just act up when the things all get full maybe? Anyway, I put a sign and some chests. But to put it in perspective, it took me four tries to "make a chest" because of lag.
