I am interested in this. I think the launcher I have can... probably?... be updated to work with newer Forge and/or newer Minecraft and stuff. Not that I have much time. And I can turn it back on if people are actually using it, I just never noticed anyone on, so I didn't think it would matter. Ping me tomorrow sometime and I can probably do the thing?
Should I email you the modpack? I think i have your email from when my password was reset. [Edit:] Nevermind, bigger than 25mb
I spent a half hour uploading it to my google drive, so you get the mods folder now. :p Also, I know all the versions i sent you work with each other, and this is actually easier than typing up all the names. There are 74 total mods in the pack right now, that counts mod libraries and dependencies and stuff too though.
I am very excited about this aaaaaa Been looking at some of the other magic mods you mentioned and. Sky Witch Observatory? Sky Witch Observatory I'm wondering - is Immersive Engineering included? I love its aesthetics a bunch. And now that I'm asking for mods, Deep Resonance also seems like a fun one that I'd be v curious to play with. (I'm also curious about Galacticraft, bc I still dream of spacecraft even though I've never actually progressed through it, but that is a much bigger ask)
It's by the Botania guy- adds a lot of small tweaks (increases ladder speed, new automation options, add bricks for everything and new stone types, stained wood planks, ect)
It just occurred to me that I don't think it's been plainly said so please forgive me for asking (and pinging), but @seebs , @NevermorePoe , are we making concrete plans to start up a 1.10 kintsugi modded minecraf server?
I don't know how concrete they'll be just yet, I am stunningly overloaded right now for various reasons, but at some point, probably. ... Also, I thought Botania's author was a girl, not a guy?
possibly? I emailed seebs a link to the modpack i've made. I can post a link on here as well if anyone wants to download it now, though if we do make a 1.10 server, then seebs could make it downloadable through the kintsugi client.
Can we use this in singleplayer too? :O eta: hoofa this is still too many mods for my poor computer to deal with, it crashes half way through loading up and says it looks like i'm using an unsupported modified version of the game.
Chronicling my process of getting this to work with a fresh Minecraft instance, in case it might help anybody (and in case somebody can point at where I screw up): I'm using MultiMC to set up the instance, starting with a vanilla 1.10.2 instance and then installing the version of Forge that Raven recommended, and LiteLoader, because I don't know what it does but it might help. Threw the mods into the mod folder, downloaded the Unity texture pack for good measure, and started it up. First crash woo. Turns out I need the Tesla API, so I'm downloading the release version of the API for 1.10.2, and trying again. (Also I'm noticing this also includes Mekanism which I am delighted to see. I am weirdly into Mekanism.) Another crash. Digging through the logs and googling relevant bits seems to point to either the newly added Tesla jar, or the Unity resource pack. Disabling both. I have discovered what appears to be a rare hybrid error log of both previous crashes. @NevermorePoe Does the pack start up and run for you? Do you think you could upload the configs for the mods that you're using?
are you using a forge instance, or vanilla? try deleting liteloader and see if that helps at all. [Edit:] And it's running perfectly on my computer.
Made it work! Turns out the problem was Minefactory Reloaded replacing the vanilla bucket? I turned that off (the bucket, not the mod) and it works fine.
@Socratease I'm also trying to install it with MultiMC, and I seem to be getting the same crashes that you had. How did you disable the bucket, and did you need to add tesla?
