"We have very good hearing, and smell," Winter says. "So. Please. Behave."

 

"...I'll be good." Miri blushes, burying her face in Elena's neck.

 

"... Me too." She didn't really want to, but she means, if Miri thinks it would be fun, then...

But um. Definitely not when her whole family is in earshot.

She pets Miri's hair instead, shifting after a few seconds to scritch her head tentatively.

 

Winter pulls the door shut again with a sigh.

 

Miri smiles, kisses her neck, and snuggles in closer.

 

"... your pack is kind of scary," she mumbles. "I don't want everyone to know when we're making out."

 

"I know when Gabe and Nattie do." She scrunches her nose.

 

Elena makes a face. "... ew."

 

She cuddles Miri tighter. "Yeah."

 

Elena kisses her nose, as she starts to drowse off. "When we're older, do you wanna?"

 

"Yes," she nuzzles in closer, curling around Elena. "I want you, a lot. When we're older."

 

Elena beams, cuddling close, as she falls asleep.

 

Nick bursts into the room in the morning, hanging on the doorframe. "aaaaaaah c'mon I slept in you gotta get up or you're gonna be late-"

 

"Nnnh. Get beeeeeent," Miri whines, snuggling into Elena's neck.

 

Elena whines. "It's Friday. Can't I have a long weekend?"

 

"No, you had yesterday off and I don't want your mom to get mad at me?" Nick gives her puppy eyes.

 

Elena gives a puppyish whine at him, combatting cute eyes with cute eyes. "Please?"

 

"She's my booooooss," Nick whines.

 

Elena whines back, higher and sadder. "Niiiiiiiiiiiick..."

Fine. Fine, she's up and moving, kissing Miriam's nose.

 

He goes to grab them both breakfast as Miri gives a sleepy protest.
