I'm awake & well-rested, Isaac is being a well behaved morning friend, it's supposed to be even cooler today, and I have a lighter workload today!
    • Get dressed
    • Knit on sweater sleeve while sis cooks
    • (if I can get good/unique knitting photos, make that my insta post)
    • Eat breakfast
    • Errands! Paw Stop- and if time, Joanns
    • Dye pot (low key this time)
    • Serious PPD planning
    • Spinning
    • Maybe make sub-lists for craft task plans?

Trying to breathe inbetween waves of different kinds of busy, while also trying to not put off too much work for PPD too late

Blending my rpg scents was a very good first experiment tho - Paladin and Good layer excellently on my skin!

And I'm doing this fiber project on a deadline bc I want to spin it at PPD, but it's still a personal/religious project instead of a work one, and that's super excellent

okay, the brochure is mostly done, which meannnnns I think all of my creative planning work is done for PPD. There's just the more labor and bookkeeping type stuff to do:
    • incorporate any feedback I get from non-household members into the brochure design
    • possssibly paper shopping?
    • printing
    • folding
    • hounding down the last few packing list line items
    • help with sign if needed
    • blend 15 more boards into rolags
    • confirm outfit/makeup all available
    • figure out day-of food
    • figure out vehicle loading plan
    • gather as much as possible the night before

And then, because I was feeling like continuing for day-of tasks:
    • load vehicle at Refuge
    • finish load at Twin Pine Ranch
    • unload & set up
    • run
    • take care of self!
    • pack up
    • unload truck
    • post-PPD traditional dinner out

    • Hug Rose really hard
    • Blend 3-4 boards
    • Spin!!! Clear that bobbin!

Also me: *starts stressing about PPD back end organization*

I know I am not alone in this, but I desperately desperately wish that PPD could be taken over by actually competent organizers, because this is just. Augh. Agonizing. I don't have a booth number or location yet, and our Grove isn't showing on the info booths page, but based on previous years it's impossible to tell if they're just typically behind on paperwork or if there's actually a problem with our registration.

apparently we're on the registration list, we just haven't been updated onto the website yet. the website is a shambles bc apparently this new website was only put up a week ago, for, like... no discernable reason according to my inside source, just the whims of the event head. also, event head insists an email was sent to me, and that they have the correct email address, buttttttt ten solid minutes of combing through every single email in inboxes, spam, and trash folders didn't find it.

at least I know we're registered, so if I show up day of and still don't have location info, I can make finding our place someone else's problem if they can't figure out how to communicate ahead of time

I did not actually end up spinning, but I will carry on regardless tomorrow

    • Get laundry cards out of drawer
    • Get money order
    • Go to office: pay rent & reload cards
    • Work on self care kit for PPD
    • Blend 3 boards
    • Spin (& Irish passport?)

Moving these quotes from earlier sperg kit discussion up here for reference - since I'll be running a hospitality booth my needs will be different, and I'm planning meals and snacks for three people, but it gives me a starting point

    Self care kit thoughts:

Phone - is required tech for our booth sound system, ditto external battery
Earbuds are silly given my phone will be busy but maybe ear plugs?
Comfy small knit - I'm genuinely not sure what would be best
Shawl - will be wearing the Liara-Rose
Big handcrafts are also part of the booth!
...maybe a book to read since my phone will be busy?
Snacks and drinks will be part of the family food hoard
    Bunny would be good
    Dice & /or Tarot deck
The whole fucking booth is a hospitality shrine so I think I have religious energy covered
Backup makeup is a good idea
    So is pen & notebook
And I love the idea of bringing smells! Def a perfume or two

Well, I tried to start laundry but the machine didn't spin out the water right the first time... And we tried to start the print job but are now in one of those cascading things-keep-going-more-wrong spirals... I'm almost afraid to touch my spinning tools tbh

Fakeedit sis seems to have fixed the printer at last thank the gods
