Did a lot of knitting tonight, and I'm still not as far as I'd wanted to be at this point. I'm going to keep on trying, though! It's entirely nonessential at this point. Somehow, having an utterly pointless tight deadline for a completely personal project is weirdly refreshing?

About to take off on my camping trip with Jams! I might not have signal for the next 24-48 hours, at least last time I was at this park there was zero unless you found an extremely specific spot... but that was years ago and cell coverage has improved. If I can, I'll liveblog camping pics!

 

I am home! I have pictures that I haven't gone through yet - I got home and hit the ground running with future camp planning and holiday planning and religious study work (I have a live class this evening I'm not as prepared for as I wanted to be) and Grove planning and and and

I am all fired up and full of go!

I did about half those things, then i got struck by nostalgia and am now preparing to engage in some excellent bad decisions

Holy shit is that Riven?

 

It is!!! I got sniped with a gifset, looked it up on GoG, and now I am experiencing the biggest gaming nostalgia trip ever. This was literally my first computer game I remember caring about.

 

aw hell yeah riven is great! I was very invested in the Myst/Riven world as a kid

 

Shit, I need to knit a Christmas sweater for my nephew.

Holiday Makes for This Winter

• Mom- scarf, in the PPD yarn, cast on
• Dad- cowl, in the other gradient handspun, pattern selected
• Baby Watermelon- newborn size Flax, in Provincial Tweed Candy Apple, yarn not ordered
• New sis-in-law- kiiiinda feel like I should, since I haven't given her any handknits yet???? IDK what to make her, though. Shawls don't need sizing and I hear nursing shawls are a thing?
• Dye or spin work for the fiber crafters in my life (sis & Rose primarily, probably)
• A lighter holder for Mac

I'm seriously cutting back on the knitting this year though. Dyeing and spinning take a lot less time for me than knitting does, and even then I'll probs end up buying some presents too.
