In the comic? Yep! I don't know if Artemis exists outside Young Justice, though. The only Artemis I've heard of in the greater DC universe is the one from Wonder Woman.
...that's kind of a shame, I really liked her in YJ, and her relationships to her family members were really engaging. Still though, they already basically imported Kaldur'ahm from YJ to the comics, maybe they'll grab her too.
incidentally i'm still thinking about Maya meeting the rest of the batfamily and. I'm pretty sure that it wouldn't even happen on patrol or anything. She and Suren would just be over for a sleepover or whatever and one of the Robins would wander into the kitchen and spot a 14 year old stranger making microwave popcorn. she's not even trying to hide or anything. did bruce adopt another child. meanwhile, on the other end of the manor, stephanie startled suren and now the wallpaper is on fire.
Oh that fan comic looks really good I have to read it Apparently the current RHatO is actually non-horrible according to reviews. I think I'll read it, it's not like I'm not inured to bad Jason writing by now. Meanwhile I unearthed this from the AMV thread :) :) :) :)
Actually there's a fic that makes a pretty goddamn epic attempt at wrangling Jason's canon arc & various characterizations into something resembling coherence, while also bridging the gap between the "YOU ALL GON DIE NOW"/ "Have fun breaking out of Arkham again" dynamic and the semi-cordial apparently-we're-friends-now thing that they apparently arrived at offscreen. ... The author cites all their sources in the end-chapter notes, including expaining which parts they decided to ignore and why. And has a whole bunch of fun meta conversation in the comments. And they know how to write in character voice. Just a second, I gotta go find the link... ah here it is: All the Roofs of Uncertainty Was anyone in this thread around for the discussion of fanfic D&D alignments? Cause this author is very, very Lawful Good. Also up there with Unpretty on my "you should be writing for DC" meter, if possibly coming at it from the opposite direction.
She's around in Detective Comics at the moment, bonding with Steph and Clayface, but since the reset she's never been Batgirl anymore :( Even if Barbara stays as Batgirl I hope Cass at least gets to go back to Black Bat. Orphan is a silly codename for her.
I will consider reading the reset comics if she is back in some capacity. What books does she show up in?
She first reappeared in the "Batman and Robin Eternal" miniseries, where she got a backstory revamp which is basically the same but with some name differences and also David Cain is Chinese now I think, and is currently appearing in the Detective Comics "rebirth" series by James Tynion starting with issue #934.
Thank you kindly. Smaller characters like her can be a bitch to find if they don't have their own book...
So uh if I revive this thread with worldbuilding rambles for an AU where I put Dick (my personal fave, husband, son and artist-lifegoals-if-i-wasn't-such-a-cripple) through hell with as much prejudice as I can manage while also mashing his face into Jason's for maximum dysfunctionality how hard am I gonna get run out of town? :P
Warning: this is very silly. So this exists, and of course upon seeing it I, as I seem to be doing constantly these days, immediately went but what if Batman? So. Dick is an obvious choice for Secret Agent Dude, what with the whole Agent 37 thing. I didn't actually read any of that arc, however, so I don't know who Bisexual Supervillain or Vengeful Ex-Wife are. Not to mention the kids. So yeah, silliness. But it's cute, and Batman characters deserve silly cuteness every now and then.
does anyone have any recs for good pre-nu52 books featuring Dick Grayson and Tim Drake? I'm tossing around ideas for a sprawling fic that would feature Tim and Dick, and I've never really written that dynamic before so I'm looking for some good canon to draw from
