Well, that's a longish hospital stay, but for "hole in skull" it's not super awful, I guess. Good luck, hope this improves things a lot!
Well, it could be shorter! It's technically in a hotel, second week I know I'll be out but...??? Depends on how well I recover
Well, good luck! Let us know how it goes. And maybe have some friend or family or something who can drop someone a line so we can get updates sooner? I will fret. Well, actually being me I'll completely forget about it, except every so often I'll suddenly think "OMG I THINK MENDACITY IS PROBABLY DEAD oh hey a shiny fluff".
I'll probably have my tablet with me in the hotel room! And my fiance will be around so I'll have him tell ya'll I'm fine :P
I will I will! We're trying to figure out what time I go down at so, there's that. Not a big deal, I might just stay in a hotel the night before so I can BE there. I know I'll be out for around 4 hours.
I am so anxious I feel sick. Couldn't hardly sleep last night and I had to take a xanex to pass out. I'm also like having to ration my pain meds because I didn't realize I didn't have a refill. Cries softly. I just want to go to sleep and it be sunday already so I can be in the hotel room... Or better, Monday morning. Gen Anxiety is hell. Mostly saying this because I'd feel kinda needy saying it lmao and at least this thread is like my 'space' for this? Idk.
Picture me waving my arms encouragingly in the air to send soothing positive vibes your direction. The arms start doing a wavey noodley swirly thing. If we add soft "wuu! wuu! wuu!" ululations, this is hopefully entertaining enough to bring a moment of levity to interrupt the anxiety!
I leave for my hotel today then surgery > their hotel room > my hotel room > home or something like that
I realize that could seem worded as in they're doing it in a hotel room, which is not the case. They're doing it in a surgery center but they rented me a secondary room for first night recovery so their 23 hour nurse could be on call there
this is terrifying and you are a hero. sending all the positives i can in your direction, you deserve 'em all.
