They cut about an inch of my skull out around where the brain stem enters so that the pressure could be released. Basically 2 surgeries in one.

I'm feeling a little more lively now, and the Oxy / Percoset / Flexoril isn't knocking me out SO hard anymore Anyway, here's some pictures! This is me Pre OP, being bored because they had an AC failure and so we had to wait 4 hours before the OR was open. THIS is me Post OP. This is my normal 'coming out of anesthesia' face, which is to say that yes I always look really pissed off for whatever reason. who knows. AND FINALLY SOME PICTURES OF MY SICK NASTY SCAR!!! They're under a cut because they are nasty. As a side note, he only did one incision on me instead of the normal three (one large and two smaller) because I had a LOT of muscle tissue on the back of my neck. It's a bit more invasive this way but it turned out well, would have been utter hell for me if he'd tried to do the three with how thick my muscle is. NICE. You officially have an excellent battle wound to show off. Doesn't counteract the unpleasantness and expense of the injury and recovery, I know, but it'll a damn cool scar.

that is some pretty stitch work and will probably become a badass scar. A+ also glad to hear you're feeling better!
I'm glad you're doing well. That is one HELL of an incision wound, dang! You don't even have to make up a badass story for how you got it when it scars - it's already badass!
It's hard to see in those pictures because of the bruising but they used purple stitching because my hair is purple. :')

Nice, it really looks like it is doing well! I also have the weird impulse to kind of poke and play with the stitches, but that is pretty common in stitches. When my foot got stitched it was the same.
