NSFW RP: consent, minors, and other boundaries

How's this for an 18+ sticky?

This is the 18+ RP subforum for all of your NSFW and over age RP needs. People playing in this subforum must be over the age of 18.

Helpful suggestions/guidelines:

• Please keep all NSFW in the 18+ subforum.
  
• Use the NSFW thread tag at your discretion. Not all threads in this subforum are NSFW.
• Collaborate to make sure everyone in a particular RP is working from the same definitions and ratings.
• Try to be mindful of consent issues and comfort levels in all situations, both IC and OOC - feel free to use the report button if you want mod help negotiating this.
• If a thread needs moved from one section to another or you would like a tag added please use the report button to get a mod's attention.
• Mark in your rp-account description if you'd prefer not to have sexual content involving that character.
• NS is for "No Sex." The absence of a NS indicator is not consent.
• NR is for "No Romance" if you don't want your character romanced nor to witness other characters battering themselves to pieces against the shores of your character's indifference. The absence of a NR indicator is not consent.

If you feel uncomfortable in an rp situation, IC or OOC, and don't feel comfortable asserting your boundaries or having a discussion about it by yourself, please use the report button or contact a mod.

 

Good point about the forum description tag.

 

Alert: possible coding problem with adding the nsfw tag to some threads. If you run into this problem please report the thread.

 

18+ and NSFW are like squares and rectangles. All squares are rectangles but not all rectangles are squares.

NSFW= 18+

18+ =/= NSFW

I think with this change things are probably ready to go on the main rp forum sticky:

• Mark in your rp-account description if you'd prefer not to have sexual content involving that character.
• NS for "No Sex" though the absence of a NS indicator is not consent.
• NR for "No Romance" if you don't want your character romanced nor to witness other characters battering themselves to pieces against the shores of your character's indifference. The absence of a NR indicator is not consent.

 

People are allowed to not want to deal with their character being pursued. You can always work out the finer points OOC.
