I mean I feel your pain not with Blackbright, because I don't ship that since I don't even know who the people involved are yet (but it seems to be a ship, I'm guessing here though), but with other ships of mine that are not given nearly enough love and attention
...on the other hand, quality over quantity amirite? because HOLY SHIT (DD spoilers, of course, and even though there isn't any sex it's still definitely dubcon) DAT CHARACTER DYNAMIC
It's the ship name between Bobby Fulbright and Simon Blackquill, if you were curious. :P Spoiler @OnnaStik Do you ship Blackbright as in Blackquill/The Phantom or Blackbright as in Blackquill/The actual Bobby? Cause I ship both and it's hell on earth because there's not enough content for BOTH of them to go around. If I never have to watch that video again it'd be too soon. edit: also while i'm here. CAPCOM, GIVE ME SIMON BLACKQUILL INVESTIGATIONS
You know what's even WORSE? He has the same portrait set in AAI2's flashback case and AAI1's, and they both basically look identical to him in AA1 except slightly more cartoonishly evil in frequency of expressions. It's not even like the years were really unkind to him; this man did not age a day in 17 years. Maybe he's secretly an immortal vampire.
Spoiler: Abuse headcanon From the way Franziska leaps on any percieved invasion of a woman's privacy I'd say abused the fuck out of her.
Okay so, I finished AA6 Case 4 and I have several reactions to it. Simon sending Taka on a snack run was the greatest thing to happen in the entire game so far, as well as the highlight of my week oh my god writers give Athena some damn RESPECT, that was infuriating and made parts of the case painful even though overall it was otherwise the most fun I've had all game I want to corroborate for @chaoticArbiter that I met the witness with DID and yeah, they're actually treated pretty well. Not perfect, but SO MUCH BETTER than I would have expected, especially after the trans fail in Dual Destinies. Spoiler: Spoilers Somebody does call it "multiple personality disorder," but the characters with psychology backgrounds get the name right. Nobody stops treating them like a person after it comes out that they have DID, and the condition itself is never a reason to suspect them. (Though it does factor into it- there's a note at the crime scene that references one of their alters.) They've got alters of multiple genders and ages and this is never played as creepy or weird or presented as a joke. Spoiler: Bigger spoilers And the ~hidden fourth alter~ who the other three don't share memories with turns out to be... a five-year-old, and when he comes out everybody is instantly sympathetic to the kid, dismisses him as a suspect, and treats him like they would any other traumatized five-year-old who ended up on the stand.
kicks down the door to this thread, because i'm anxious and need to get over that via screaming cross-posted from my vent
IM GLAD YOU KICKED DOWN THIS DOOR. These are some really good ideas, and I love that you've spent so long crafting a whole thing. I'm also kind of upset because I feel like it's /fair/ for Apollo to yell and yell and want to hurt her, because she's been alive and well his whole adult life and he never knew and I could see why that might not feel fair. I'd be upset. I've never actually seen this ship at all, I always see Klavier and Apollo? Sometimes Trucy and Pearl? But that might be because somehow every Ace Attorney blog I follow only ships gay ships for the series, which I am not complaining about but is kind of a surprising coincidence. That being said, Franziska/Maya? Good shit. Also Edgeworth/Wright is like. Actually legitimately canon.
HELLO WHERE WOULD I GET THE SECOND AAI GAME AND A PATCH? DO YOU KNOW? COULD YOU ASSIST? THIS WAS POSTED SEVEN YEARS AGO. Also I think it's like HYSTERICALLY funny that Phoenix has the magatama which can SEE LIES and Apollo can tell when people are bluffing with his MAGIC and Miles's super special secret lawyer skill is.... using logic. Using logic with his brain. Putting ideas together to form new ideas. Poor Miles. He gets so far in his career without any special magic enhancements and then these new baby lawyers with magic powers show up and can literally tell definitively if their clients are innocent or not (save that one incident) while he has to go off silly little things like EVIDENCE.
