so do they live in hurricane territory?? is this gonna be like, A Thing now??? or was this just a MYSTERIOUS FREAK HURRICANE OF NORMAL HURRICANE STRENGTH

probably a freak hurricane? they are only a few days walk (cat walking, so probably. not terribly far) from an ocean and their world position is already ambiguous so like, why not lol. it wasn't mentioned as a hurricane specifically but i'm pretty sure it was described in hurricane-y ways? I remember there being an eye idk.

 

Blackstar made me think of Soul Eater CONSTANTLY ngl.

as someone with some knowledge of how hurricanes work, this bothers me, because I need to know if this is gonna be a permanent Thing they gotta deal with or not.

 

I had the inverse happen. I also actually never got past the like, fourth episode of soul eater.

I seriously doubt it; it was a super edition book and they've had plenty of seasons without hurricanes before. even in areas that get hurricanes more than freak accident occasions hurricanes can only hit rarely enough to be a heck of a long time in feral cat years. Like ive been studying in savannah, which is pretty not far from hurricane-heavy areas but also only gets hurricanes every few decades it seems. which none of these cats have lived more than like, 12 years.

I'm from an island in the middle of the ocean, and while we Do get Many Storms, we haven't had a MAJOR hurricane since uhhhh. 1992? so yeah it's been a solid almost 25 years
So I figure they'll probs have Some Storms, but nothing AS majorly damaging until like....at least a few generations pass or something??

but in the scale of feral cats though, it could have just been a really big floody rainstorm, and not a full hurricane. i mean they are like 1/10th or so the size of a human (or smaller!)

They cant have more hurricanes hit, then shadowclan and thunderclan would keep having to move up to the territory area i'm theorizing SkyClan will end up making their own territory U:

and tru!! i'd have to reread it to remember if they did mention stuff to make it specifically a hurricane, cause as i said i thiiiink i remember them mentioning an eye. also it flooded the lake up a SIGNIFICANT amount

They've definitely had Fairly Major Storms before, but I think it was the First Major Occurrence, so any others will PROBABLY be fairly significant??
