Books and warmth are very impurrtant, yes. Also I recon Cheshire would be like a more socially acceptable verysion of my cat talk, where sometimes he talks (well, meows) for me.
I do actually have a question. I'm not entirely sure of what I'd want my daemon to be but I think I'm old enough that my daemon would definitely have settled, I think? Is it alright if I bend the rules a little or do you think I should play a younger version of me? I'm leaning towards a younger version honestly, but that would probably mean Trans Stuff and I don't know if that would make other people uncomfortable.
Lazarae: room 6, second floor, north side, single. two small windows from which you can climb out onto the screen porch roof, please don't abuse this to drop things on people. the big basswood tree on that side blooms fragrantly in midsummer and drops little hard seeds like an endless rain of dried peas in september. cream wallpaper with a subtle pale green fern pattern and yellow curtains, large closet (almost as big as the room itself) with built-in shelves, which some folks choose to use as a study rather than a closet. i think it was the linen station back when this was a hotel. welcome! *gives keys*
i think everyone but me is playing college students, so around 17-25 depending on undergrad/grad. i'm playing the landlord of a quirky bit of campus housing. not that i think any of us would be upset by even a quite young trans kid, but by college age it's certainly not likely to unnerve any of this crew!
Can I be currently dormless, crashing in the library/gym college student? It happens. It's hard to find new housing halfway through the semester. How should we start the rp thread?
Some of my friends are doing that at the moment, so perfectly normal. Start in the library, crashing into each other and slowly realizing, huh we're stuck?
Possibly start two storylines, libary and Jesse´s place, and work towards the meetup via tunnerls, at which point they can merge?
In my experience, RPs with several locations worked pretty well, even in one thread. I would suggest putting a place marker at the top of each post. The Library The Tunnels Jesse´s House. etc.... Also seeing that we have out bunch meet up fairly quickly, and then have adventure together.
totes! i'm thinking sometime in the next day or two i'll do a little writeup on the house, which rooms are which and so forth.
there's a great big common room with a couple squodgy couches, a bunch of bookshelves, a fireplace, my loom and spinning wheel and wall 'o fleeces, a biggish freshwater aquarium, and a carpet that is probably covered with enough fur to make a whole new daemon. which is to say, napping on the couch is an honorable tradition and here is a rainbow blanket i made for the purpose. :D
