If the quirk didn't tip you off, that is a beautiful Karkat Vantas-ism in "Like One Sundered Star", a superhero/corrupted game AU on AO3 that I highly recommend if you haven't read it already. Fun times.

 

@Bel Capricorn I tried replacing various nouns in those quotes with The Laundry, and while they were very amusing, I suspect that's not what you meant.

Mr Penumbra's 24h bookstore is a great read. Like Douglas Coupland, but less existential crisis-inducing.
