I can't witness this enough speaking as a person who uses Windows and types in Japanese...

 

I had the unfortunate experience of being a person who had switched to Dvorak and become unable to type in Qwerty without looking at the keyboard and then needed to use Windows to type in Japanese, frequently and at some length. Eventually I figured out how to switch the keymap for Japanese input to Dvorak but it was a bit of an ordeal.
