In the context of a discussion of Empire of Satanis, a weird RPG where you play demons in acid trip hell, there was talk about it's creator, Derrik Dishaw... (aka 'Venger As'Nas Satanis') who did indeed get kicked out of the Church of Satan for, among other things, unironically worshipping Cthulu. Really. He is the reason RPG.Net has a rule against casting spells on other posters.

ETA: And yes, said Empire of Satanis does indeed make it impossible to roll any multiple of six (because if you roll a six you reroll and add the results together)

Well, it's 'six updates worth of review', not six updates of the book itself.
Plus it looks like it follows the World of Darkness pattern of putting the fluff in the front of the book and then the actual rules in the back.
