So our DM just did some amazing one-on-one rp with all of us, text based.

and in it Petric had to confront the elf who was living in his body before drowning and the parasite crawled in there and took over. And it was incredibly cool and intense and actually taught me that Petric has a very strong sense of self (The elf claimed that he was Petric, and Petric went 'no. I'm me. I was never you') and the entire confrontation was just cool

and the elf was saying that he was stuck inside Petric but unable to do anything, that he was suffering and that he wanted to die. And so Petric.... did that. Not fighting him, but offering him as painless a death as he could manage (Gently cradle side of elf-that-was' head and then apply eldritch blast Point Blank)

And after he'd done that and the elf-that-was was dead, an agent of the Raven Queen as briefly visible and now Petric has this perk:

God I can't wait to no-sell someone's Turn Undead or similar.

Bonus funny: Petric now has boons from two (2) deities. The RQ as above, and the various blessings of the False Moon (whom he is warlocked to by now)

Writing someone else's OC oh god.

Admittedly, meeting other necromancer tended to go... not well. It went pretty terribly, to be honest, and tended to have a bit of a thunderdome approach: two necromancers enter, one necromancer's leave.
So he was as surprised as anyone as meeting this particular necro had... gone pretty great, admittedly. Not for any efforts of his, oh no. That was all Mod's doing. She's seen the other's familiar: a little pug with half its face skeletized and patches of fur and meat just missing and decided to investigate. Which in this case meant: pounce the dog and then just...sit on it while said dog is wagging it's tail fervently as she meowed up at a rather startled looking ash-blond man. Who then proceeded to try and remove her from her new seat, which...predictable levels of success, meaning 'none'.
And ok maybe he shouldn't have laughed, considering how offended the other one looked but god, it was just too good, so he took pity.
"Sorry, she's like that sometimes. Modgudr!" He bent down and picked her up - without a fight on her part - only to immediately get shed on and noofed. Ah, cat-keeper life. "There you are. And you might wanna like..not openly walk the zombie dog 'round here, people can be a bitch twitchy with the pitchforks and torches."

    "Beg your pardon, zombie dog?"

And that was how it started, with a long explanation of what zombies were - met with nodding -, what necromancers were - met with semantic discussion -, and how to get the locals to leave you the hell alone with your less-alive darlings - met with honest curiosity. So now, several hours later, they were sitting on his porch with herbal tea, and Hector was wiggling a string for Mod. The cat was predictably completely engrossed with the game, wiggled in the grass like a particularly pointy eel. Matt meanwhile had the puppy on his lap, scritching behind the remaining ear.
There was a hammer on the table, inlaid with two coins, and a knife crafted from bone, its handle still the recognizable shape of a human femur.

"And you think we could combine forces for this?" Hector had spent some time thinking about it.

"Oh, absolutely. I've given reanimated pets away before. Accidents, you see? And if you got the right people they'll be more than happy to take them off your hands. This will just be a...slightly larger scale project" Matt shrugged. "I think it'd be a shame not to try."

BPAL's lupercalia line for this year is out and I am suffering so y'all gotta look at all the different scents i would be buying if i had infinite money:
(themes this year include 'anatomy of the heart' and 'Edo era erotic art' because god bless BPAL. Hence the portion of the site with the scents is... very nsfw rn)

I Died Of Love - Balsam-dusted leather, crushed lilac, bay rum, soft black musk, cubeb berry, and smoke.
Cordae Tendinae - blood musk, radiant golden amber, gilded carnation, orange blossom, and red cognac.
Left Atrium - red mimosa, airy white cedar, pink grapefruit, and white amber.
Mitral Valve - French lavender, luminous Corsican juniper, benzoin, honeyed carnation, wild hops, and blue musk.
Right Atrium - uminous amber and white tea, cherry blossom and cashmere wood.
A Tattooed Woman Embraces The God Of Thunder - Silken red musk, black leather accord, patchouli, Malaysian oudh, cardamom, and vetiver.
Dripping Mountain - Terebinth resin, jasmine absolute, and snow magnolia.
Year Of The Ox - Soft brown musk, black peppercorn, tobacco absolute, hiba wood, and cognac.

What I do to deal with the shipping is buy all my stuff through ajevie and combine shipping, but even if you dont combine the difference is huge - here to Brazil bpals flat rate is $34 but Angie charges me $14/15 or something.

TheOwlet A feathered pillow filled with salt and science

yeah shipping to Germany is also 34 bucks so I tend to buy at least two perfumes at once because otherwise the shipping is more expensive than the actual thing i'm buying which is just... pain...

emotionally compromised about the Opportunity rover being officially declared offline

like, not even emotionally compromised in a bad way necesarily, but in a very intense bittersweet way because the way the engineer team went about it all playing music to her and all that and trying to get a response for 8 moths from a little robot that was expected to reach its end some 14 years and change ago. Because humans just bond that tightly to anything that'll hold still long enough and I just... have a lot of emotions about ho this is showcasing some of the best parts of humanity, the determined, curious, caring parts that send a little machine into space, onto another planet, and then proceeded to stay with it for 15 years with millions if not billions of people following along, and ended it with a love song

We have an enormous capacity for caring, it just gets buried too often.

Dnd was so good today!! We did a fight again (we've...not been fighting a lot lately, somehow we're good at diplomacy and stuff) and we leveled up so Petric is properly warlocked now!

and since the DM has magic-initiated us all back when the campaign started he now has four cantrips and 3 spells and one of the cantrips if Green Purple flame blade, which at his character level (9) means that his sneak attack rn is 4d6+1d8+4 (dex) + weapon

and since his main weapons are Seabird (1d4+1d4 ice) and Flametongue (1d4 + 1d6 fire)... that means his current sneak attach is 5d6+1d8+1d4+4, plus 1d8+2 (CHA mod) on another enemy if within 5 foot and visible

    DPS gud

oh, and a lil crowd control thing that lets me blind people in a 15 foot radius if i'm outside

he's perhaps a little bit broken. just a touch.

i might at some point put the woodelf magic feat on him and add a druid cantrip and pass without trace, because clearly what his +10 stealth ass needs is another +10 stealth
