my mum has adjusted very well to her morbid, goth daughter and it really shows.

 

This is so good to hear!! Parents supporting their children's fashion choices = VERY good. (I am suddenly reminded of the time my mom insisted on getting me a dress at Hot Topic because she thought it was just too cute...)

i mean look, i have a collection of jars with dead animals inside them at home, and some 75% of those dead animals have happened to me ebcause my mum came home with a plastic bag and 'hey [owlet] look what I found on a walk! :D' while brandishing like a dead lizard. it's fucking delightful.

also: my DnD character is approaching unreal levels of DPS.

sneak attack + green flame blade on his normal weapon? 4d6+2d4+1d8+4, 1d4 of that is ice damage, the d8 is fire damage AND i get to do 1d8+CHA mod to a creature within 5 feet that i didn't just stab in the guts

if i get to stab something before it has a turn in combat i roll attack at advantage, and if i surprise something? automatic crit.

AND i still get an offhand attack so another 1d4+1d6, the d6 of which is fire damage again. Because, apparently, i'm just gonna be Real Good at killing things.

like, if this list is accurate, and it being CNN i have some faith that it is, the fire went over with a LOT less damage than i had expected when seeing the pictures. Like..a ton less.

 

Pretty sure it’s accurate—the organ being saved was reported by another reputable source, I remember that. Such a relief.

 

i spent a good chunk of my morning arguing that 'neolithic societies had male hunters and female gatherers' s not in fact a hypothesis supported by the fossil record, and on top of that would be stupid to implement anyways and lemme tell you, it was about as much fun as trying to argue with a creationist about the age of the earth.

we had hunters and gatherers, sure but afaik all supposed fossil records showing some sort of sex division was wildly misinterpreted by, you guess it, white male mysoginistic scholars.

like, we fossil record we do have bears out similar injury patterns, which is a good hint that 'more dangerous things' (usually interpreted to mean 'hunting') were inf act not sex-segregated. which, again makes sense! because if you wanna hunt very big things you need a lot of work force and leaving half of your workforce at home because ~boobs~ is a terrible decision.

also this guy thought that back in the day it was 'have a kid, once it can walk, immediately have the next kid' because the strains a pregnancy can be on the body is apparently negligible.

 

I like avast's cleanup Programm for maintenance of Software on my lappy,but being cheerily told that my c: drive needs repairing is unsettling as hell. Can we not??

 

So aside from my carrot cake, lab's also got choclate bunnies (from boss) and easter bread/chocolate eggs (from the firm)

So we're really well stocked. This is the first time EVER that corporate has sprung for easter goodies, i'm still boggling

 

Possibly a silly question, but what’s Easter bread? (Not sure if it’s not a thing here or if I’ve just never encountered it haha)
